The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 248: Chapter 248: Reborn (Part 3)

Su Yaogeng woke up after more than an hour, and Aunt Xi, seeing her awake, excitedly asked, ”Princess? How are you feeling? Is there anything uncomfortable?”

Su Yaogeng shook her head, ”I’m fine.”

Although she felt some pain, this amount of pain was nothing to her.

”Miss Chuxue said that as long as you recuperate for a while, you will probably recover in about a month.” Aunt Xi couldn’t wait to share this good news with her.

”Really? Aunt Xi? Is what you said true? I, I really...can be like a normal person?” Su Yaogeng clutched Aunt Xi’s sleeve, somewhat disoriented and asked.

Even though she believed An Chuxue, she still found it hard to believe there could be such a miracle in the world, but now, now...

For the first time, Su Yaogeng felt as if she were dreaming.

She suddenly felt a bit frightened, afraid that it would be like before, when she woke from a dream and reality would revert everything back to how it was.

Aunt Xi, seeing her like this, tears fell down in torrents onto Su Yaogeng’s hand. She quickly withdrew her hand and looked at Aunt Xi, ”It’s true, right?”

Aunt Xi nodded, her voice choking up, ”Princess, it’s true, it’s true! In the future, you’ll be just like a normal person.”

Su Yaogeng looked at her, not speaking for a long time, then lay down, pulling the blanket over her head, quietly lying there.

Aunt Xi didn’t disturb her, and only after a long time did she hear a low chuckle from under the blanket.

After a while, Aunt Xi heard Su Yaogeng say, ”Aunt Xi, I’m better, I’m like a normal person now. I will no longer have nightmares of being a monster.”

Aunt Xi wiped her tears, nodded, and replied, ”Yes, Princess, you’re better, really better.”

No matter how strong Su Yaogeng usually was, she truly accepted reality, but for a woman, Lady Shi was truly a nightmare, a subconscious demon constantly eating at her, telling her she was a monster, different from normal women.

She didn’t even have the qualifications to be a woman.

As strong as she was, she couldn’t change that.

She could let go of the past, she could accept that the man she loved most left because of this. She could live a normal life, but this matter would forever cross her heart, tormenting her at all times.

And now, she had actually freed herself from this nightmare; this kind of delight was like breaking free from a cocoon, reborn.

As if from this moment, her life truly began anew, blooming brilliantly from despair.

Reborn as if anew.

Early the next morning, after breakfast, Han Jing and An Chuxue came together to see Su Yaogeng, finding that Su Yaogeng was in surprisingly good spirits, showing no signs of having undergone surgery.

Seeing the two, she quickly gestured them over, because An Chuxue had instructed her not to get out of bed easily last night; otherwise, she felt as though she could leap across roofs and vault over walls without issue.

”Mother, how are you feeling?” Han Jing walked over and sat down on a low stool beside her.

”I’m great.” Su Yaogeng smiled, pulling An Chuxue’s hand, ”Xue’er, I really don’t know how to thank you. Whatever you want, just say it. As long as I can do it, anything is okay.”
