The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 136: Chapter 136: The Frustrated Emperor (Part 1)

Su Xingyan entered the hall and immediately heard a powerful, angry shout: ”Ungrateful son! How could I have given birth to such an unworthy child as you!”

Then there was the sound of porcelain crashing to the ground!

Su Xingyan hurriedly knelt down, seeing before him the shattered remnants of a tea bowl.

”Calm down, Father!” Su Xingyan said, bracing himself.

”Ha, calm down? Su Xingyan, you are capable indeed! Why don’t you take a look at the trouble you’ve caused, and yet you ask me to calm down?” The Emperor was so furious with this troublesome child that he almost felt like he could ascend to the heavens from anger!

”Father, I truly don’t know what mistake I’ve made to provoke such anger. I only hope Father can take care of your health and not take your anger out on me.” Of course, Su Xingyan knew why his father was angry, but what could he do? He had no idea She would suddenly call off the engagement!

”You, you!” The Emperor pointed at Su Xingyan, too angry to form words! At this point, he still didn’t know what he had done wrong?

”Fine, tell me, how did you promise me before the hunting contest? What did you say? Try saying it again!” To think he had trusted him so much back then! And what was the outcome? It had thoroughly disgraced him!

Zheng’er, with her character, was always daring and unconcerned with the face of the Imperial Family, or she wouldn’t have resolutely married Han Siqu back then! But having one such shameless person in the Imperial Family was already enough, at least Zheng’er had never done anything heinous! But look at what his good son had done? Hm? He forced his own cousin and fiancée to such a desperate point! Did he really think this matter wouldn’t blow up?

Now, everyone in the Palace, all the royal relatives and high-ranking ministers, knew he had such a depraved son!

The Emperor was just about to explode from anger because of this troublesome child!

”Father, I said I would reconcile with my cousin, and I truly tried, but... I never expected she would suddenly propose calling off the engagement!” Su Xingyan never intended to reconcile, but he also didn’t expect She to break off the engagement, he was still trying to wrap his head around it!

”Did Jing’er not tell you that if you won the hunting contest against her, she would call off the engagement?” The Emperor sat down, utterly overwhelmed, and in his extreme anger, he became calm. Fine, he would have a good discussion with him and see where exactly he went wrong!

”Yes!” Su Xingyan could not deny it, She did tell him this, and he did think she couldn’t possibly defeat him!

”The hunting contest lasted three days. Yan’er, you’ve been practicing martial arts since childhood, and among the younger generation in the capital, your martial arts are among the best. There aren’t many who can surpass you, right? Do you dare say you can’t defeat Jing’er?” Just hearing about this condition made the Emperor want to laugh, it was clear that She had been forced to compromise, agreeing to break off the engagement. He had said back then, as long as he could persuade She to agree to the breakup, he would not trouble him further.

But what was the result?

”I...” This question left Su Xingyan at a loss for words, could he say he couldn’t defeat She? Could he admit that they all underestimated Her? Of course, he couldn’t say that, the embarrassment would be too much! If he couldn’t even defeat She, a delicate woman, then his life would have been in vain!
