Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

On the arena.

”The staff shadows are like mountains!”

Wang Shengteng realized that ordinary attacks could no longer pose a threat to the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable.

In an instant, his figure shot out like a leopard, his long staff carrying the sound of breaking through the air, aimed directly at the vital points of the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable.

The staff shadows were like mountains, layer upon layer, each strike containing the power to split mountains and crack stones.

However, the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable’s figure moved like a ghost among the staff shadows, each dodge perfectly timed, neither early nor late, neither more nor less.

At the same time, he said, ”Too slow, too slow! Also, I taught you all not to just mechanically use skills!”

”You can link attacks into it!”

Listening to the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable’s reprimands, Wang Shengteng gritted his teeth, continuing his attack like a violent storm.

Yet the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable still remained at ease, his staff occasionally pointing out, blocking some staff shadows that couldn’t be dodged purely by positioning.

The pressure on Wang Shengteng grew heavier, with stamina decreasing due to maintaining skills, and since he couldn’t hit the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable, his anxiety soared.

The next moment.

Wang Shengteng’s staff changed its offensive, originally immense in power, now transformed into constant waves.

”The staff technique is like water!”

”Nonsense!”

The Celestial Dao Demon Venerable shouted coldly.

His body suddenly accelerated, like lightning cutting into Wang Shengteng’s offensive.

His wooden staff lightly tapped, hitting the pivot point of Wang Shengteng’s force conversion on the long staff.

This light tap, however, was like a thousand pounds of force, instantly breaking Wang Shengteng’s offensive.

Wang Shengteng only felt a tremendous force coming from the staff, causing his long staff to deviate involuntarily, and his entire balance to shift with it.

The Celestial Dao Demon Venerable’s staff turned into a phantom again, tapping on Wang Shengteng’s shoulder.

Although this strike didn’t use full force, it was enough to completely dismantle Wang Shengteng’s offensive.

Wang Shengteng’s face paled, the pain in his shoulder jolting him from his previous state of agitation.

Because previously, the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable had taught them.

If you cannot smoothly transition between skills, fill in with defense skills or normal attacks.

Never let the enemy find the momentary gap in your skill link.

At a low tier, perhaps everyone’s speed, strength, and timing control aren’t so good and can’t catch it.

But once in a high tier, flaws can be caught at any time.

Sure enough.

The Celestial Dao Demon Venerable’s expression turned cold as he spoke, ”You even forgot what I taught you, being impatient and restless. Your skill transitions have problems, with errors in the order of using these two skills...”

”My combat theory, you failed this term.”

As these words fell.

The entire martial arts arena started to boil.

”Ah? No, Wang Shengteng is really too miserable, he failed the newcomer contest, and now even failed the combat theory.”

”No, what happened? Wasn’t the fight going well before? How did Wang Shengteng suddenly lose?”

”It happened too fast, I didn’t get it either. But a loss is certain, it’s just whether Shen Fei will let it pass or not.”

”I’m more curious about what the reasons are for passing and not passing. Surely it’s not according to Shen Fei’s mood?”

...

Everyone was eagerly anticipating what the final result would be and why such a result was given.

And at this moment.

Shen Fei’s voice echoed through the broadcast, ”Wang Shengteng’s journey in this newcomer contest ends here.”

”There are ten reasons, first.

When you initially engaged in close combat with the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable, you didn’t use your enhancing skill ’staff technique’ to stack damage, preparing for follow-up skills...”

”Second, if you had used ’staff technique’ to stack damage at the beginning, when you first used the skill, you used the staff a total of one hundred and three times, which can increase the attack speed and damage by about 53%.

At the same time, use ’staff technique is like water’. This can continue to boost attack speed, drawing your opponent into your attack rhythm.”

”Third, starting with ’the staff shadows are like mountains’ is a fatal mistake, though it deals high damage, but with part of the action lag each time.
