Stronger by Paying Salaries and I Have 1 Billion Employees

”How could it be that simple? You think this is a private company where the boss can just call a meeting and settle things?” Zhao Maolin explained. ”Don’t worry, my boss said he’ll do his best to fight for you, but he can’t guarantee the outcome.”

”How about you just head back for now?” Chen Yansen said, looking at Zhao Maolin with a teasing, half-smiling expression.

”Damn it, now I’m definitely not leaving. Hand over all your good tea,” Zhao Maolin retorted, cursing good-naturedly, knowing Chen Yansen was joking.

”Brother Zhao, you need to watch your language!” Chen Yansen ribbed him.

”You forced my hand,” Zhao Maolin snorted, following Chen Yansen into the elevator lobby.

”What are the odds?” Chen Yansen asked again.

’If Yanjing Telecommunications doesn’t agree, I’ll just go talk to Unicom and Mobile,’ he thought. ’I have to try them all. What if one of them says yes?’

”Fifty-fifty, I’d say,” Zhao Maolin answered, slippery as an eel.

Chen Yansen’s brow furrowed slightly as he stared at Zhao Maolin.

Lao Zhao felt a little unnerved by his gaze. Afraid of offending Chen Yansen, he added in a low voice, ”It mainly depends on what percentage of the app-specific data costs Senlian Capital is willing to bear.”

”Yanjing Telecommunications’ potential gains are no less than Senlian Capital’s,” Chen Yansen immediately retorted.

”Are you saying you don’t want to pay a single cent? You want a free ride?” Zhao Maolin shot back.

”Yanjing Telecommunications wants money? Fine. Then for every phone card sold, I want a commission on activation and top-ups,” Chen Yansen shot back without hesitation.

The implication was clear: Yanjing Telecommunications shouldn’t expect to take advantage of Senlian Capital either.

”President Chen really hasn’t changed a bit,” Zhao Maolin remarked with a chuckle.

’In any case, I’ve already kicked this collaboration up to my boss,’ he thought. ’If it succeeds, I get the credit and my relationship with Chen Yansen improves. If it fails, the blame won’t fall on me.’

DING. The elevator doors slid open.

Chen Yansen pushed open the door, revealing an office of over fifty square meters. To the left, by the window, was an area with a sofa, a coffee table, and a bookshelf. To the right stood a large LED screen, a tea station, and a reception area. In the very center was a walnut desk, beside which a lush, verdant Money Tree grew splendidly.
