Stronger by Paying Salaries and I Have 1 Billion Employees

Since the debut of Aurora Future OS, domestic smartphone users had another new option.

In an era where Android and iOS dominated the mainstream market, Aurora Future OS and the Windows Phone system made a powerful entry.

As for Nokia’s Symbian OS, it was already a thing of the past.

Under Chen Yansen’s deliberate control, after the 200,000 units of the Qingcheng D2 running Android sold out, the pre-order link showed a shipping date that was a week later than the Aurora Future OS version.

The 799-yuan Qingcheng D2 was impeccable in terms of both price and specs.

Initially, the Market Department’s pricing strategy was 899 yuan, but President Chen insisted on a 100-yuan price cut because he knew the 2013 smartphone market all too well.

For users buying a 799-yuan smartphone, value for money was the core demand. Most didn’t care much about the richness of the app ecosystem.

After all, these were people who would even dare to try knockoff phones with giant speakers, flashing lights, dual-SIM support, and even features for shaving or lighting cigarettes. Why would they mind a few missing games or apps?

Besides, popular software like QQ, Sohu, NetEase, Kuai Pao, Ofo Bike, and Fast Taxi were all already compatible. Only some mobile games were missing.

Therefore, on the second day of its online launch, bolstered by over 100 offline direct-sale stores, the Qingcheng D2’s sales hit a new high, with a total of 1.41 million units sold.

Even the Aurora Future OS version of the 360 N2 lasted only half an hour before all 5,000 units were snapped up.

When the news broke, the entire industry was shocked!

A phone selling 2.78 million units in two days? This was insane!

Lei Yijun’s eyes were red with envy. He urgently called a management meeting with only one item on the agenda: copy the Qingcheng D2’s strategy and learn everything from it!

Xiaomi had to enter the sub-1000-yuan phone market!

Phone manufacturers like Coolpad, Xiaolajiao, Da Kele, Celestial Language, and Boguide also turned their attention to the low-end market.

As they saw it, with Orange and Xiaomi in the picture, they couldn’t make money by overpricing their products for fools anyway. They might as well enter the sub-1000-yuan or even sub-100-yuan market to keep raking in cash.

Small profits, quick turnover!

They could use no-name brands for all the hardware—screen, battery, processor, and memory. All they needed to do was make the screen a bit bigger, and they could still make a few hundred yuan per unit in fourth- and fifth-tier cities.

OPPO and VIVO were well aware that as the number of Orange Intelligent Life Experience Halls grew and Cloud Speed Service Stations spread rapidly across North China, East China, and Southern China, their own offline sales networks were taking a hit.

Users in towns and villages might not have been clear on the differences in phone specs, but they could see the price difference at a glance.

Leveraging over 1,300 Cloud Speed Express Service Stations, Orange Technology successfully sold the Qingcheng D2 in rural markets. However, due to extremely low inventory, it sold out in less than half a day.

Every day, aunties and uncles from the neighborhood would come by with expectant looks, asking, ”When will you have more in stock?”

For this reason, the Shencheng Factory specially produced 200,000 units of the Aurora Future OS version of the Qingcheng D2 and distributed them throughout the rural market via the Cloud Speed Express channel.

Two days later, an episode of *Jing’s Close-Up* aired. Chen Yansen once again shot to the top of trending topics, thanks to his looks, wealth, experience, and eloquence.

His line, ”As long as you’re on the path of catching up, every step is a step in the right direction,” was instantly adopted by countless young people as their QQ status message.

Chen-isms went viral across the entire internet!

Lao Chen sat hunched over on a small stool, his head tilted up at the television set on the counter.

On the screen, Chen Yansen was impeccably dressed and full of spirit, casually throwing around figures like ”20 billion” and ”50 billion.”

”This little rascal. It’s like he’s afraid people don’t know he’s rich.”

Chen Guobin muttered under his breath.

In his hand, he held the latest 64GB Yaocheng X1.

Although Chen Yansen could be sharp-tongued, he often sent things to Lao Chen.
