CEO's Reborn Wife

Jane Sampson thought James Black might be upset that she mentioned Rachel Miller again, but to her surprise, James Black actually responded, ”I have no objections.”

Just four simple words, spoken without any hesitation.

I have no objections.

At that moment, Jane Sampson thought she might have missed a few words or heard wrong.

But after she looked at James Black’s expression and confirmed it didn’t waver, she was sure she hadn’t misheard.

After saying ”I have no objections,” James Black’s attention wasn’t focused on the matter but instead reached out to touch her belly, asking Jane Sampson, ”How many months before the child starts kicking? I heard kicking means the child is stretching inside the belly. If the child is like me, with good martial arts, can your belly handle it?”

James Black asked so seriously that Jane Sampson seriously thought about the question for a few seconds.

Then she realized and burst out laughing.

”Your question is so dumb,” Jane Sampson reached out to rub James Black’s face, ”Even if the child is like you, they aren’t you. What you know can’t just be directly inherited by them while they’re still in the belly; they have to grow up and learn from you later!”

Jane Sampson laughed for a while until her laughter gradually faded; her sense of humor had always been quite simple, so she always found such jokes particularly amusing.

”James Black, do you really have no objections?” Jane Sampson reached out and hugged James Black, ”If you’re unhappy, let’s not worry about it. However Sister Grace handles it and how far she can go depends on her own abilities.”

”I have no objections.” James Black still said those same words.

Seeing Jane Sampson looking at him with a puzzled gaze, James Black added, ”Let’s consider it as accumulating blessings for our baby. Doing a good deed casually is worth doing.”

In his heart, James Black admitted that becoming a father made him think more.

He also began to understand what it felt like to have expectations for his child as a father.

However, it was because he became a father that James Black couldn’t understand or forgive the wrongs his biological father committed against him and his mother.

He became more tolerant towards innocent children.

But his hatred towards the Miller Family grew even stronger.

”You’ll definitely be a good father in the future.” Jane Sampson was deeply moved.

James Black raised his eyes and glanced at Jane Sampson, ”Hopefully, you can still be a good wife.”

???

Jane Sampson blinked and looked at James Black. This guy was playing by his own rules again. At this point, shouldn’t he be saying hopefully she’d be a good mother too?

Why would it be a good wife?

And in such a negative tone.

Hopefully you can still be.

What does it mean you can still be?

Jane Sampson kicked James Black, ”Say it again.”

”Do you know what a good wife needs to do?” James Black asked Jane Sampson.

”What do they do? Tell me?” Jane Sampson asked James Black with interest, raising her eyebrows, ”What does your ideal good wife do?”

Now it was James Black’s turn to stay silent. He sat there looking at Jane Sampson, and suddenly his lips inexplicably curled into a smile.

”I think I’m a good wife.” Jane Sampson pouted, ”See how good I am to you. Back then I went bankrupt just to buy you that watch, and I even gave you a baby.”

As she spoke, Jane Sampson reached out to touch the watch on James Black’s wrist.

The one he’s wearing today was the first watch she bought for him.
