CEO's Reborn Wife

But she wouldn’t tell Nina!

Jane Sampson left the office of Nina Rice after staying for a while. Nina was busy, and it wasn’t suitable for Jane to stay there affecting her work. Besides, Jane also needed to seize the time to learn more.

Meanwhile.

James Carter, in his studio, suddenly received a call made from in the house.

”Mom, anything going on?” The call was from Mother Carter, who took the call to a quiet office to answer, ”Last night Dad said, you took Jillian to see a psychologist this morning? How did it go?”

Mother Carter did indeed want to speak with James about this matter.

However, before she could begin, the usually optimistic Mother Carter couldn’t help but sigh.

”At first, I thought, if Jillian knew we were taking her to see a psychologist, she would definitely resist. The psychologist mentioned not to reveal his identity to Jillian, so I arranged to meet Jillian, claiming a long-unseen friend had returned from abroad. I asked Jillian to accompany me to catch up with the friend over morning tea. Jillian seemed quite happy when we set off.”

”And then?” James Carter asked, because if everything had gone smoothly, his mother wouldn’t have sighed.

”In the beginning, Jillian, the psychologist, and I were chatting quite well. But somehow, Jillian suddenly discovered that the friend I mentioned was actually a psychologist. She immediately questioned what was really going on. I explained that coincidentally, my friend happened to be a psychologist, but she kept questioning me relentlessly, and she figured it out.”

Mother Carter said, ”Jillian knows most of my friends, so once she discovered the psychologist’s identity, she didn’t believe my explanation. She started causing a scene in the dining hall, loudly accusing me of treating her like she was mentally ill, of deceiving her and bringing her to see a psychologist.”

”Jillian also said since Jane Sampson returned, we don’t care about her anymore, and it’s disgraceful to treat her like she’s mentally ill. The more Jillian spoke, the more agitated she became. No matter how we tried to persuade her, she wouldn’t listen, hysterically losing her temper there. She overturned the stuff on the table, then ran off alone. I called her again, but she refused to answer.”

This situation was what Mother Carter was worried about.

”Try making a call to her and see if she picks up. If she does, explain everything clearly to her,” Mother Carter said, ”Pay attention to your tone, don’t provoke her further.”

”Okay, I understand.” After James Carter hung up the phone, his heart sank a bit.

In Jillian’s eyes, the concern of the Carter Family for her turned into disgrace?

A self-mocking smile appeared on James Carter’s face.

He then took his mobile phone and tried making a call to Jillian. As expected, the voice message notification indicated no answer.

With Jillian in the midst of an emotional outburst, it wasn’t very likely that she would pick up his call.

James Carter contemplated it for a moment and sent a message to Jillian.

Sort your emotions out and give me a call. - James Carter.

He called his mother back, explaining how things were from his side, offering a few comforting words, and then returned to the recording studio to continue his work.

About the whole Carter Family, none of the people from Carter Family foresaw.

After leaving the dining hall, Jillian returned home; she refused to answer calls from all the Carter Family members, leaving the mobile phone on the tea table, ringing uninterruptedly, even calls from Joseph Shaw went unanswered.
