CEO's Reborn Wife

In the car returning to the guard team, Jane Sampson kept chatting with Peter Gingery, who only started to show concern for her matters after knowing that she just returned today.

Looking at Jane Sampson’s arm, Peter isn’t as meticulous as James Black and won’t lift her short sleeve to check.

Seeing there were no scars on her arm, Peter was delighted.

He wasn’t aware yet that there was still a small scar left on her arm, so after a glance, he urged Jane to put on her coat, fearing she might catch a cold.

”From today onwards, you’re once again our beautiful little Jane.” Peter was genuinely happy, patting her arm, showering compliments as if they were free, all the way.

This made Jane Sampson feel exhilarated, smiling all the way.

Even James Black, who was driving, couldn’t help but glance at Peter several times.

More than an hour later, the three returned to the guard team. As soon as the car stopped, James sent Peter off and held Jane Sampson’s hand back to the dormitory.

In a good mood, Jane was hopping up the stairs like a child. It was already very late at this time, and everyone had gone to rest, so after reaching the second floor, she didn’t continue making noise, afraid of waking others who were already asleep.

Entering the door, Jane suddenly remembered something and curiously observed James’s expression.

”What are you looking at?” James heard Jane’s curious exclamation and casually glanced at her, noticing her staring at him with a curious gaze.

”Nothing.” Jane shook her head and giggled.

She thought to herself, James didn’t seem to be in a bad mood, so there was no need to comfort him.

So Nina was wrong; she didn’t need to comfort James.

After walking through the door, Jane asked James, ”What did you take Alexander out of the ward for? He seemed so obedient when he came back.”

”I just took him to a secluded corner to reminisce about his colorful love history.” Remembering this, James smirked.

But his smile lasted only a few seconds before it vanished.

He turned his head to look at Jane, who was already seated on the sofa, observing her expression for a few seconds before seriously asking, ”Do you think I’m good?”

Jane, who was swinging her leg, suddenly stopped.

So.

Nina was right.

As expected, her first task upon returning was to comfort her James.

Why?

Why is this?

Jane didn’t figure it out, but it didn’t stop her from knowing that she needed to make James feel better at this time.

Jane was silent for a few seconds, seemingly pondering the question deeply. After a while, she nodded firmly and said, ”Very good.”

After answering James, seeing him standing there with furrowed eyebrows, Jane quickly stood up, wrapped her arms around him, nuzzled her face against his chin, and affectionately praised him, ”You’re the best! I like you the most!”

Jane’s sweet talk delighted James.

Right away, he hugged her and laughed.

”Hmm.” James replied with a tone filled with suppressed laughter and patted her on the rear, ”It’s very late; go wash up first.”

”Okay!” Jane nodded and, before entering the bedroom, tiptoed to kiss the corner of James’s lips, and then jubilantly went inside to shower.

James stood there watching until Jane disappeared from sight before smiling and moving again.
