CEO's Reborn Wife

”Taking you for morning exercise?” Rock Bell immediately thought of the reason, ”Who’s to blame for you being lazy and lacking exercise in the first place? He’s doing it for your own good. You have no right to be mad. I wholeheartedly support what he’s doing.”

”Sister Tin, don’t judge me. You’re always sitting in the office all day and you don’t exercise either,” Jane Sampson protested. ”If you can do it, why can’t I?”

”Because I’m lucky to have found a husband who won’t drag me out of bed at 5:30 in the morning to exercise,” Rock Bell chuckled, ”Daniel Taylor is always so busy, his feet don’t even touch the ground. Whenever he takes a vacation, he just wants to stick to the bed and not come down. It’s unlikely he’s going to be so cruel as to drag me to exercise. The only exercise he likes involves the bed with me.”

”...” Jane Sampson couldn’t handle Rock Bell’s sudden shift to ’driving’ mode, so she quickly changed the subject. ”Sister Tin, let’s get to the point. You definitely have other reasons for calling me.”

”Even after being married for so many years, you still get embarrassed so easily,” Rock Bell teased before getting to the point. ”There’s a reality show next month on the 20th inviting you and James Black to participate. It’s a couple’s interactive reality show. A few episodes have already aired, and I found it quite interesting. I wanted to get your thoughts.”

Even though she was mad at James Black, Jane Sampson still kept her wits about her.

”No way. James Black cannot appear on screen,” Jane Sampson said.

”I know. I already told the program crew that James Black can’t be on camera. Director King over there said they’d only film his back or just focus on his hands during the questionnaire,” Rock Bell explained. ”James Black’s face won’t be shown.”

”That’s still not okay. What if someone recognizes James Black just by his back or hands? It’s not out of the question. People who know him can definitely recognize him,” Jane Sampson insisted.

She was genuinely concerned. For example, if someone saw James Black on TV during his mission and identified him from the closeup of his hands, that would be a big deal.

The people James Black interacts with aren’t blind or stupid; they’d definitely recognize him from a back view or a close-up shot.

”Alright, I’ll tell the program crew about your situation. If they have no other solution, we’ll decline,” Rock Bell nodded. ”And it’s a coincidence that the recording date is next month on the 20th, which happens to be the anniversary of you and James Black getting your marriage certificate, right?”

”Yes,” Jane Sampson nodded.

”Your Father Black gave you a JSY. What are you going to prepare for your Father Black?” Rock Bell was purely gossiping out of curiosity.

Jane Sampson didn’t respond immediately. She walked to the place near the study in the living room before speaking up.

”I’ll give him a big wax gourd!” Jane Sampson’s temper flared, and she glanced at James Black in the study, deliberately shouting, ”I hate James Black the most! What anniversary? I don’t even want to spend it with him! He’s so annoying. He doesn’t even help massage my sore feet. He doesn’t care about me at all. I’m not giving him any gift!”

With that said, Jane Sampson withdrew her gaze and continued loudly, ”Don’t ever bring up James Black with me again. I can’t stand him!”

”...” Rock Bell was at a loss for words.

Jane, the Drama Queen Monkey King of Sampson.

Those words weren’t meant for her to hear; they were directed at James Black, with her using the phone call as an excuse.

Rock Bell wasn’t worried at all about Jane Sampson and James Black fighting. With Jane Sampson’s soft and warm temperament, Father Black could easily coax her, and she’d be smiling sweeter than candy again.
