CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2104: Chapter 2112: Can’t Let Go

”Brother, you finally decided to wake up. If you didn’t, I really would come to your ward and cry for an hour every day,” said Alexander Forest.

”Can I not wake up? While faint each day, I can hear you whisper by my ear about how you’re almost bankrupting the company and nearly wasting all the money borrowed from the Black Family,” Kane Forest replied without any politeness, expressing extreme disdain for Alexander Forest.

”I just said I’m only suited to be a rich second-generation who eats, drinks, and plays all day, I’m not at all cut out to work hard every day in the office making money like an outstanding young man,” Alexander Forest was also shamelessly used to it; no matter how Kane Forest mocked him, he never got angry.

”Just now I overheard Elder Uncle making a call with someone, discussing the arrangements for you to go abroad,” Quincy Forest whispered quietly to Kane Forest, ”Brother, you’re not going because you can’t let go of the company, right? It’s okay, Brother, you go overseas and rest for a while. My brother might be useless, but he can manage for a while too. As important as the company is, it’s not as important as your health.”

Kane Forest shook his head.

It’s not that he can’t let go of the company.

It’s that he can’t let go of this city.

He can’t let go of this city that buries the girl he likes.

Staying here, he could sometimes go see her at the place where she sleeps well and accompany her.

Jane Sampson feared loneliness. She left, and with James Black spending years in the guard team, who knows if he will forget about her someday.

If one day James Black forgets her and he also leaves, then no one will often go visit her; she would truly be lonely.

He always thought he would stay by her side, to sleep together at the closest place.

But he woke up.

”Where is she buried?” Kane Forest asked Peter Gingery this question just now, but Peter Gingery changed the subject and didn’t tell him.

”She hasn’t been buried yet, the remains were sent for preservation, waiting for James Black to return and see her one last time before the burial,” mentioned Alexander Forest, his tone no longer as lively when he spoke of Jane Sampson, ”James Black went on a mission and hasn’t returned yet.”

Kane Forest fell silent for a while.

Several minutes later, he suddenly whispered to himself.

”When I met her, she wasn’t married yet. If at the time I liked her, I asked her out to meet and told her I liked her, could it be possible that now she would be marrying me?” Kane Forest couldn’t help but ask himself.

If Jane Sampson married him, while she filmed shows abroad, would he miss her for leaving too long and follow her to join the film crew, choosing to work from a different location?

If he could always be with her, maybe she wouldn’t have been taken away by kidnappers?

”Brother!” Alexander Forest shouted in a low voice, ”How can you have such thoughts?”

”The marriage contract between James Black and Jane Sampson was arranged early on, these thoughts of yours will only keep you stuck in a dead end,” Alexander Forest reproached Kane Forest, ”No wonder uncle and aunt want to send you abroad.”

Alexander Forest understood now, resting is an excuse, their aim is to have Kane Forest leave the former living environment, enter a whole new setting, and slowly forget about Jane Sampson.

”Death cannot be reversed. Jane Sampson, while alive, was James Black’s wife. We all witnessed how good their feelings were for each other. Jane Sampson passed away, and James Black is more pained than you are. Those of us still living can be sad for the deceased for a while, but cannot be sad for a lifetime. Do I really have to explain this to you?”
