CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2091: Chapter 2099: Maybe You Are Right

”Through the investigation of this person’s various information, it was discovered that this person was in the same city where Jane Sampson and James Black were on the day Jane was sent back. His ID card has a record of opening a room at a five-star hotel, and the check-out time was yesterday morning,” said Old Master Black. ”Since there hasn’t been enough time, the police are still investigating this person, and more messages will have to wait a bit longer to be discovered.”

Old Master Black had another sentence he hadn’t spoken, ”However, from his consumption habits, driving a luxury car, frequenting fine dining restaurants, and staying at five-star hotels, his expenses don’t match his family conditions and his apparent work income. Therefore, it is suspected that this investment company might also be one of that Big Brother’s industries. This person is likely an effective subordinate of that Big Brother, just like that young man.”

Old Master Black said so much, and neither Jane Sampson nor Brooke Black heard a bit about James Black.

”I think this grandfather’s guess is right!” Jane Sampson nodded in agreement with Old Master Black’s guess.

”Anyway, we’ve been waiting for so many days already; we’re not in a hurry. We’ll wait a bit longer.” Brooke Black patted Jane Sampson’s shoulder, ”I think maybe you’re right; James Black should be fine.”

Jane Sampson gently nodded, then sat down beside Old Master Black, resting her chin in her hands and closed her eyes, deep in thought.

Old Master Black and Brooke Black didn’t disturb Jane Sampson. The two were very familiar with Jane Sampson’s habit. When she’s contemplating, she would quietly sit there without saying a word, even closing her eyes, completely focused on the thoughts in her mind.

After a few minutes, Jane Sampson slowly opened her eyes.

Her eyes lit up as she looked at Old Master Black and then said, ”Grandfather, is it possible that he was the one to pick up James Black? That young man and the mute aunt left first, and the last location they were found in was in the home city, which means that the young man and mute aunt didn’t leave the city district. So, is it possible they went to find him?”

That young man was very arrogant; perhaps he didn’t leave the city district overnight but went to find the male subordinate of the Big Brother.

Perhaps the young man also asked that person to go fetch James Black, who was buried at the villa.

Of course, no matter how arrogant, the young man couldn’t take the mute aunt to stay at a five-star hotel, so that night, the young man and mute aunt should have stayed elsewhere, and these people should have met at a secret place.

Since the young man and mute aunt were already under surveillance by the police, the Big Brother immediately took action and got rid of these two individuals to avoid being implicated.

But since James Black knew nothing about that Big Brother’s affairs, James Black was instead safe.

Jane Sampson guessed that it’s likely James Black, because the person coming to pick him up wasn’t that familiar young man, proactively cut off contact with the outside world just in case.

And when the young man and mute aunt encountered harm, James Black didn’t face any safety threat himself, so for self-preservation, James Black couldn’t make any reaction.

As Jane Sampson thought of these issues, another question arose in her mind.

”So, where is James Black now?” After saying those words, Jane Sampson lightly bit her lips and looked at Brooke Black and Old Master Black.

”You keep talking.” The more Old Master Black listened, the more he felt there was possibility in what Jane Sampson said. Because Jane Sampson was also one of the parties involved, she might understand the situation over there better than them.
