CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1684: Chapter 1692: The Reason

”Joseph Shaw? It’s actually Joseph Shaw?” Jane Sampson recited this name, quietly watching James Black, waiting for him to continue talking.

”The legal representative of Harrington Entertainment is also Chris Shaw, but the shareholders are Chris Shaw and the current CEO of Harrington Entertainment. Moreover, Chris Shaw holds 75% of the shares, while the current CEO only has about twenty-something in hand.”

James Black said, ”Only high-level management at Harrington Entertainment know about Chris Shaw. According to the investigation, Chris Shaw has never handled any daily affairs of Harrington Entertainment, so the regular employees of Harrington Entertainment do not know that Chris Shaw has any relation with their company. Plus, Chris Shaw has other investments under his name, and in total, the assets can be considered quite substantial.”

”Then all these belong to Chris Shaw, what does it have to do with Joseph Shaw? Could it be that Joseph Shaw is Chris Shaw’s son?” Jane Sampson finished speaking and then shook her head, ”No, previously Oscar Wilson mentioned to me, Chris Shaw’s parents died when he was very young, so he entered the guard team at an early age. He went to university after Old Sir Carter provided him with the route and opportunity.”

Jane Sampson clicked her tongue, ”Don’t tell me it’s some wealthy family’s illegitimate child’s drama?”

James Black laughed directly upon hearing Jane Sampson’s words.

”Chris Shaw is even a year younger than Joseph Shaw. How could Chris Shaw have such a big son like Joseph Shaw?” James Black raised his hand to rub Jane Sampson’s head.

”Huh?” Jane Sampson blinked her eyes.

She heard the name and thought Chris Shaw was someone of a parental age.

”Chris Shaw and Joseph Shaw are from the same village, they are neighbors, and they grew up together. When Chris Shaw was in high school, his parents divorced, and he was handed over to his mother. However, after his mom remarried, his stepfather treated him poorly, and in a fit of anger, he ran back to the village to find his father. Yet his father had also remarried, and the house could no longer accommodate him. He was kicked out of the house by his biological father and stepmother, forcing him to return to his mother. Chris Shaw was left with nowhere to go, and Joseph Shaw took him in, letting him stay at his home.”

These were all part of the detailed information James Black had found.

”After Joseph Shaw entered the guard team for one year, Chris Shaw reached the age and joined the troops as well. Coincidentally, the two were assigned to the same guard team. Later, the two went on a mission together during which Joseph Shaw saved Chris Shaw’s life. For this mission, Joseph Shaw almost lost his life to save Chris Shaw.”

”However, Joseph Shaw was lucky, he survived against all odds, yet Chris Shaw’s luck wasn’t as good. Although he kept his life, he lost the use of one foot, so he was demobilized. After Chris Shaw was discharged, he did not accept the job arranged by the guard team for him; after recovering for half a year, he started doing business.”

James Black said, ”Harrington Entertainment was established in the second year after Chris Shaw was demobilized. However, considering Chris Shaw’s economic condition back then, it was unlikely he had so much money to do these things.”

”But Joseph Shaw did. Joseph Shaw had compensation money left by his parents that had passed away. In the six months before Harrington Entertainment was founded, Joseph Shaw also sold the house his parents left him.”

”So, could it be that Chris Shaw is helping Joseph Shaw make money?” Jane Sampson suddenly grasped the key point.

If not, it would be unlikely for Joseph Shaw to have given Chris Shaw such a large sum of money for entrepreneurship.

Joseph Shaw’s parents’ compensation money plus the money from selling the house, that was all of Joseph Shaw’s possessions.

Furthermore, Joseph Shaw had the favor of taking in Chris Shaw and saving his life. Back then, when Chris Shaw was abandoned by his biological parents and had nowhere to go, it was Joseph Shaw who took him in and provided him with a shelter from the storm.
