Chapter 1650: Chapter 1658: Granny Sampton’s Video

In my lifetime, I’ve lived in a way that seems clever, and I have been clever, yet I’ve been equally confused. It’s only when I’ve grown old and confused that I start to comprehend some truths.

After the old man’s passing, I’ve pondered repeatedly, always asking myself, if one day I suddenly leave like the old man did, what would I worry about the most?

Thinking over and over, what I worry about the most is Jane, this child.

Therefore, I decided that before I leave, I must do something for Jane, this child, so that if one day I leave, I can depart with peace of mind.

Jane is now a big star, and you all like her. Inside the village, I hear everyone saying good things about her, which makes me very happy.

However, there’s a concern in my heart, it’s about Jane, and also about our Old Sampton’s family.

I fear that one day when I leave, Jane’s origins will be exposed, and someone might speak ill of her.

Being a public figure, every step Jane takes needs to be taken cautiously, and similarly, if someone wants to ruin her, they only need to use her identity as a public figure to attack her.

When this video was released, I guess everyone might already know that Jane is not my biological child from Old Sampton’s family?

Indeed, Jane is our foster daughter, but I will not allow anyone to use her identity as a foster daughter to harm her.

If one day, Jane leaves the Sampton Family, I also support Jane, because she doesn’t owe this family anything.

Jane coming to the Sampton Family was a gift from God to me and the old man.

After Julie Sampton returned to the Sampton Family, she often spoke of her unfortunate childhood, caused by Jane Sampson, blaming Jane for snatching away her right to grow up with her biological parents, for making her suffer hardships as a child, and has always felt that Jane robbed everything that should have belonged to her.”

The video paused there, Granny Sampton sighed, paused for a moment, shook her head, and then continued speaking.

”Actually, if Julie wants to blame someone, the ones responsible for all her misfortune should be her parents, who gave birth to her but couldn’t recognize their own daughter, and the obstetrician and nurse from the hospital who were negligent in the past.

It has nothing to do with Jane Sampson.

In the past, due to a twist of fate, Jane Sampson came to our house, became a child of the Sampton Family, she had just been born, and thus left the side of her biological daddy and mommy. She was just an innocent baby who didn’t understand anything.

Later on, Julie Sampson returned. To make up to Julie Sampson, my husband and I, as well as Julie Sampson’s parents, have cautiously protected her, trying our best to pamper her with a compensatory mindset.

Yet for my Jane, after Julie returned, her hardships truly began.

Julie Sampson is a child who knows how to fight, make noise, and seek attention, and she changed from an active little lass into a quiet and silent girl, doing everything cautiously.

Because of Julie Sampson’s return, my husband and I neglected her for a long, long time.

She was still so young, going to piano lessons alone, going home alone after school.

Participating in competitions alone.

Receiving awards alone, and returning with her trophy alone.

To make up to Julie Sampson, we even made Jane Sampson, who was born on the same day as Julie Sampson, become the elder sister, and then we kept telling Jane, ”You are the elder sister, you need to give in to your sister, you are the elder sister, you need to take more care of your sister.”
