CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1553: Chapter 1561: Still Uncertain

Jane Sampson’s face lit up with joy.

”When did she tell you? Why didn’t she tell me directly?” Jane Sampson said casually, ”She went abroad before New Year and I haven’t seen her since. She’s been away for half a month, I wonder what gift she brought for me.”

”Sister Coco and Sister Jane have a great relationship, she must know what Sister Jane likes,” Lucy Brisk’s gaze returned from Jane Sampson’s face, and she explained, ”I just received Sister Coco’s call. Sister Coco was afraid you were busy and that calling you would disrupt your work, so she called me to pass the message.”

Jane Sampson nodded, mumbled a bit, ”I guess she’ll bring me something delicious.”

Speaking of which, Jane Sampson suddenly felt better, ”I’m kind of looking forward to Coco coming back soon.”

Coco Edwards and Jane Sampson are both foodies and they get along very well. The things Jane Sampson loves to eat, Coco Edwards just happens to love too, so Jane Sampson thinks that Coco would surely know that nothing beats bringing her food.

”Sister Jane, when will Sister Coco be back at the company?” Lucy Brisk tentatively asked.

Honestly, Coco Edwards’ injury this time was fully covered by the studio’s medical expenses, and her trip abroad during the New Year was personally funded by Jane Sampson, covering major expenses like accommodation during Coco’s time abroad.

Lucy had also heard from the finance person that although Coco Edwards didn’t return to the company during the New Year, her annual bonus was quite substantial, and she received a sizable red envelope as well.

The entire studio knew that Jane Sampson is really generous and genuinely kind to her assistant Coco Edwards, so everyone at the studio envied Coco for being able to work by Jane Sampson’s side.

And naturally, Lucy was one of them.

Her and Harry Little Money’s New Year red envelopes were the same as the others from the studio, but both she and Harry got an extra latest model mobile phone.

Valued at over 8000 CNY, just this mobile phone made everyone at the studio green with envy.

So frankly speaking, Lucy feels like she is in competition with Coco Edwards because her return might mean that she and Harry will have to leave.

”Not sure yet, depends on her recovery and mood,” Jane Sampson waved her hand, ”Anyway, I still have you by my side, and Harry will return to the company in two days, so there’s no rush.”

Harry used to take care of Coco Edwards every day previously, and didn’t even take a day off, so during the New Year, Rock Bell gave Harry an extra half a month’s leave.

”When Sister Coco comes back, I wonder who Sister Bell will assign Harry and me to.” Lucy whispered quietly, but both Jane Sampson and Fiery Fanny next to them could hear, ”This year, the studio signed two newcomers, I guess Harry and I might work with them, right?”

”That depends on the arrangement from HR, I’m not sure,” Jane Sampson didn’t answer directly, but between Harry and Lucy, one of them would probably continue working with her.

However, Jane Sampson didn’t mention this to Lucy, whether to keep Harry or Lucy would be something to discuss later.

After all, although they’re Jane Sampson’s assistants, their actual job is to coordinate with Coco Edwards, so it is still necessary to consider Coco’s opinion and find someone she can get along with.

After lunch, Jane Sampson took a half-hour nap in the makeup room before refreshing her makeup and getting back to work.

The afternoon’s filming was much more relaxed than the morning, still indoor, but without all the running and jumping, and scenes with the male lead hadn’t started yet. Instead, scenes with some supporting actors were scheduled to shoot first.
