CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1380: Chapter 1388 Staring at Your Darkness

Jane Sampson frustratingly sent an ”hurry up and scram” emoticon to Bright Sampton, achieving her goal as the cheeky kid naturally stopped chatting with her.

Perhaps it was because the pictures of the small cookies and spicy beef that Jane Sampson posted were too tempting, so before Jane went to bed, her twitter had already surpassed 100,000 retweets.

She was somewhat proud and took a screenshot to send to James Black, but she didn’t get any response from him until she turned off the light and went to bed.

With twitter bustling with activity, Peter Gingery also did not reach out to her, Jane guessed that perhaps James Black and Peter Gingery might be out on tasks.

Jane slept soundly, but the furor on the internet kept many others awake.

After early morning, some comments quietly appeared on twitter.

They were saying Jane Sampson’s culinary skills were mere hype, even suggesting that during the show recording ”Oh My Mum!”, there were people boosting Jane Sampson, and perhaps the food displayed wasn’t even made by Jane Sampson, but was taking credit for someone else’s work, while the show crew colluded with her.

About Jane Sampson’s twitter giveaway as well, there were doubts expressed, suggesting that she probably hired many paid posters, and when the giveaway occurred, those small cookies and spicy beef could actually be made by someone else, possibly even from Jane’s own nanny or such.

All these insinuations were essentially questioning the authenticity of Jane Sampson’s cooking skills, alleging she was just using it as a hype.

Jane Joy Studio couldn’t pinpoint who the instigating manipulator was in a short time, but the issue was resolved before Jane woke up.

Jane Joy Studio together with the ”Oh My Mum!” program crew jointly sent a lawyer’s letter to the initiator of the hype speculation about Jane Sampson’s cooking skills, and the official twitter of ”Oh My Mum!” and several guests promptly posted clarifications validating Jane Sampson’s culinary expertise.

Thus, when Jane Sampson woke up, she only saw her fans clashing with a small portion of haters, and it was only after calling Rock Bell did she learn about what had happened on twitter last night.

”This is really just attacking you for the sake of attacking, I don’t know who’s so idle as to always target you,” said Rock Bell, ”Our studio’s people are still investigating it.”

Listening to Rock Bell, Jane Sampson couldn’t help but have one person pop into her mind.

”I have a gut feeling it might be Jillian Carter,” Jane Sampson unreservedly told Rock Bell, ”The only person I can think of who can’t stand me doing well and is possibly jealous enough to do something like this is Jillian Carter.”

”Jillian Carter?” Rock Bell was somewhat surprised, ”Alright, I got it. I’ll start inquiring in her direction.”

After ending the call, the first thing Jane Sampson did was to check her WhatsApp to see if James Black had replied to her message. Seeing WhatsApp quiet, Jane Sampson then put down her phone, washed up, and drove over to Kendal Smith’s studio.

Kendal Smith had been staying at the studio during this time. When Jane arrived, he was still dressed in pajamas, looking untidy, showing none of the demeanor expected of Second Young Master Smith. After opening the door for Jane, he told her to make herself at home and then went back upstairs in slippers to the resting room to prepare to sleep.

While speaking to Jane Sampson, he mentioned, ”I have James Carter making a spare key. Once James Carter arrives, get the key from him. From now on, just come right in without knocking, because I don’t want to be woken up from my deep sleep anymore just to open the door for you.”
