CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1211: Chapter 1219: How do you want to respond?

Jane Sampson curiously looked down and let out a small sound of surprise, shaking her head, ”No, didn’t you say you lost your mobile phone? How come your mobile number is still sending me this text message? Was your phone stolen?”

Jane stretched out her hand to take the phone and quickly typed out a string of words.

My relationship with him isn’t good, you can kill or maim as you wish, at worst it will turn my divorce into widowhood, and I might even inherit all of his money.

After sending it, Jane handed the phone to James Black and asked seriously, ”Do you think they will be so furious they might die after reading this message?”

”I can’t be sure if they’ll die from anger, but there’s one thing I’m sure of.” James quickly grabbed the phone from Jane’s hand, ”I will definitely be the first to die from your anger.”

Taking Jane’s phone, James directly brought Jane in front of him to face him.

”Divorce?” James pondered the term, then switched to another, ”Widowhood? Jane Sampson, are you itching for a scolding?”

Jane felt James’s tone was off, quickly stuck out her tongue at him, and rubbed her head in James Black’s arms, ”It was just a joke.”

”No way,” James responded.

”Then what do you think?” Jane asked, ”Did someone steal your phone, and then saw my number saved in it and used your phone to contact me?”

Previously, James had said it was lost, and if someone had picked it up, at most they’d scam for money, not use James’ illness as a threat to scam her.

Another thing, how would someone who picked up the phone know whose phone it was? James Black’s phone wouldn’t have any personal information about him.

Even in the phone’s photo album he had...

Jane shook her head, ”No, that person did not use your phone to send the messages.”

Jane spoke, ”Your phone has a password, if this person broke your mobile phone password to get in, they could see our group photos in your phone album, then they should know who I am, but the tone of the text messages seem like they don’t know who James Black’s wife is.”

”It must be that they figured out how to take out my sim card and put it in another phone.” James thought the same.

”Is it related to your mission?” Jane asked.

Undoubtedly, someone who would go through the trouble to take James’ phone and send her such a message, Jane said, ”It’s not for money, it must be to trick me to come over, the purpose being to find out who your wife is, to threaten you?”

The text message didn’t mention anything about money, so it must be unrelated to money.

”Yes.” If Jane hadn’t figured out some of these things, James wouldn’t have specifically mentioned them, but now since Jane had already guessed, there was no point in hiding anything from her.

”Actually, if you hadn’t been in trouble, I wouldn’t have come here to King Town early. If you hadn’t been in trouble, I would currently be on my way back to Capital City,” James frowned, ”I didn’t come to find you, and before I head back to Capital City, because I lost my phone, you probably wouldn’t be able to contact me, so the possibility of you being deceived was very high.”

Jane shook her head, ”Not likely, if you weren’t here, I definitely would have shown these text messages to my grandfather first. You’re a soldier, not an ordinary person, everything concerning you requires careful consideration. I wouldn’t blindly go to an appointment by myself.”
