CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 988: Chapter 996: What Would You Do?

The crisis faced by Francis was effortlessly resolved by a single tweet from Jane Sampson, and Noah Edwards sat there dazed for a long time.

Noah Edwards turned the mobile phone towards Amber Edwards, tapped the desktop, and then said, ”You don’t have to cry anymore, this matter has been resolved. Jane Sampson herself posted a tweet to clarify, and the person who tried to slander her wasn’t you.”

Looking at Amber Edwards’ astonished gaze, Noah Edwards sighed deeply, ”Amber, even though I can’t figure out exactly who stands behind Jane Sampson, setting aside all her identities and glory, a girl like her, in my heart, is the true elite, genuinely cultivated and of quality.”

Noah Edwards said, ”She can separate her personal feelings from public duties and doesn’t use any opportunity to step on those she dislikes. She can even be called kind; she has a big heart. She doesn’t let her preferences obscure the truth or affect others’ judgments. Amber, if you were in Jane Sampson’s position today, tell me, could you do what Jane Sampson did?”

Amber Edwards wiped away her tears and stared hard at that tweet, truly finding it hard to believe.

To Noah Edwards’ question, Amber Edwards naturally couldn’t do it.

”If it were you, you would probably have used this opportunity to crush her completely, ensuring she had no chance to breathe or live, right?” Noah Edwards knew Amber’s answer just by looking at her expression.

”So, I suddenly understand why every time you face her, you lose so miserably. It’s not just because our Edwards Family’s influence in Capital Province is insufficient, but also because, you are not as clever or as kind as she is.” Noah Edwards took back the mobile phone, his voice serene, ”If I were an outsider, I would prefer Jane Sampson over you. Hence, Amber, your loss to her is justified.”

Noah Edwards thought he should probably go and thank Jane Sampson.

”Why is she so kind-hearted?” Amber Edwards asked with a choked voice.

”Because she has a conscience, and she has boundaries,” Noah Edwards now quite admired Jane Sampson, the actor.

”Maybe one day, if you become someone like her, perhaps by then you’ll understand why she was so kind-hearted to clarify this for you.” Noah Edwards patted Amber Edwards’ shoulder, ”Go upstairs, wash your face, and then rest a bit. I’ll book you a flight ticket, and tomorrow you should head back to the southland.”

”But I haven’t finished filming my scenes yet.” Noah Edwards gently shook his head, ”This is my first show.”

”You’re not cut out for this; your own investment in the drama, do you also want to lose money?” Could Noah Edwards not know what abilities Amber Edwards had?

”Once you return, the director will naturally bring back the original third female role to play your part. You don’t fit into this circle. With your temperament, without the Edwards Family constantly protecting you, you will inevitably one day be gnawed down to the bone.”

Noah Edwards said, ”Listen to me, later post a tweet to sincerely apologize for your recent behavior, and make a call to Director James Chip to apologize; you’ve been quite willful recently, causing him a lot of trouble and holding up the film crew’s work.”

Amber Edwards didn’t respond, neither agreeing nor disagreeing, and turned to walk up the stairs.

After Amber Edwards went upstairs, Noah Edwards took the car key and left the house.

Jane Sampson’s single tweet had given many living in this restless and anxious world a lesson about conscience and morality, yet as the person directly involved, she was unaware that her tweet had led so many to reflect upon themselves.
