CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 970: Chapter 978: Who Else Could It Be?

Back then during the audition, after just a threat to Jane Sampton, the company encountered one problem after another, if things really escalated, the company would probably be kicked out of Capital Province.

Fortunately, his arrival wasn’t too late.

Seeing the fury in Amber Edwards’ eyes, Noah Edwards ultimately couldn’t bring himself to slap her regardless, Amber was his cousin after all. ”Miss Sampton, I am extremely sorry for the incident on twitter. I will make sure Amber retracts it as soon as possible,” said Noah Edwards. ”I am Amber’s cousin, the General Manager of the Capital branch of Francis, Noah Edwards. I apologize on behalf of my cousin. She has truly been spoiled by our family, so much that she has no sense of reality.”

”The twitter incident has nothing to do with me!” Amber Edwards stepped forward and said directly, ”I didn’t do it and I will not admit to it! Noah Edwards, if you don’t believe me, you can check my mobile phone.”

”If someone is prepared to do something conscienceless, who would use their own mobile phone to do it?” Coco Edwards said, ”Miss Edwards is surely not that foolish, right?”

”Is it your place as an assistant to speak here?” Amber Edwards shouted back at Coco Edwards, then said to Jane Sampton, ”We’ll see about that!”

After that, Amber Edwards turned and left.

Noah Edwards called out to her twice but couldn’t get her to stop. He regretted not slapping her when he had the chance, to make her more compliant.

”Miss Sampton, I apologize again,” Noah Edwards said and, seeing that Jane Sampton had no intention of engaging with him, finally turned and left the film set to chase after Amber Edwards.

”This President Edwards is somewhat interesting,” Coco muttered.

”Coco, do you think the incident on twitter could really be unrelated to Amber?” Jane gently touched her chin, her mind replaying Edwards’ expression when she denied the twitter incident earlier.

It seemed like she truly felt wronged.

”If it’s not Amber, then who else could it be?” Coco asked.

”That’s true,” Jane nodded, ”If not Amber, then who?”

Who else besides Amber would intentionally take those photos and then sell them to that kind of studio.

In the three days following the incident, Amber hadn’t come to the set again, but the Sampton Family continued to send lunch and dinner over every day, though Jane hadn’t touched the meals since that time.

By the fourth day, Jane had completely lost her patience.

When the driver came over with the lunchbox again, Jane made her displeasure clear.

”Do you not understand what I say? I’ve told you, stop hypocritically bringing meals here!” Jane’s temper truly flared, ”Dad’s not at home these days, right? So every day you prepare Julie’s favorite dishes, and you tell my mother, who wants to send meals to me so badly, doesn’t she know that I can’t eat spicy? Every day you deliver her biological daughter’s favorite food to the hands of me, her foster daughter, for me to look at but not eat, do they find pleasure in doing this?”

There was no one else around Jane Sampton, and the driver, unable to help, would report her words verbatim, but Madam still insisted on sending meals, what could he do?

The house’s Auntie also said that the meals Madam sent for Miss every day were just to annoy miss.

Any elderly who had been in the Sampton Family household for more than a decade knew the miss couldn’t eat spicy food.
