CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 708: Chapter 716: Earning PR Fees

”Hmm, pretty much,” Jane Sampson admitted honestly, ”It infuriates me.”

Any woman would get angry if she were criticized this way and had it published on a public platform.

”I read the article, and you can tell it’s there just to smear you. Writing such articles doesn’t really serve a purpose. Even though Charlotte Miller’s photos are retouched and look quite good, your two photos are no worse than hers,” said Rock Bell.

”This article isn’t even bad enough to justify spending money on PR for you. Believe it or not, if this article continues to spread, the person getting criticized won’t be you. It’s definitely going to be the author, including Charlotte Miller, who they’re using to step on you in comparison,” Rock Bell said.

”I haven’t even looked at the comments online yet,” Jane murmured softly, ”What’s the point of them posting these kinds of articles?”

”They’re aiming to rack up PR fees. Generally, when artists are maligned, companies resort to paying these so that the authors will delete such disparaging articles, but we won’t indulge these people. They try to smear you with such poor tactics,” Rock Bell said. ”You are beautiful, so we’ve even saved on the company’s PR expenses.”

”Sister Tin, you really know how to compliment people,” Jane said, her heart blooming with joy at Rock Bell’s ”You are beautiful.”

”Charlotte Miller’s photo has been retouched, but netizens these days are savvy. At first glance, they can tell the photos have been altered. Firstly, using retouched photos of Charlotte Miller to compare with your candid shots is already enough for netizens to mock. With that said, even if it’s your impromptu photo snapped at the elevator entrance compared to her polished group pictures, you still don’t look any less attractive than Ella Ruby,” Sister Tin said.

It could be said that Rock Bell was quite confident in Jane Sampson’s looks.

Jane Sampson had great skin, and since she wore light makeup for the interview that day, her makeup looked very natural. Compared to Ella Ruby beside her, Jane’s makeup could almost be described as no-makeup makeup. Normally, netizens tended to prefer someone with such a natural makeup look.

Besides, with her skin so flawless, even light makeup couldn’t reveal any imperfections under the merciless gaze of the HD lens. Blemishes, spots, and wrinkles had nothing to do with Jane Sampson.

But it wasn’t so for Ella Ruby, as her skin condition recently was not particularly good, visible even with retouching.

Here, Jane Sampson had an excellent body ratio. At a height of 167 cm, once she donned high heels and coupled with her natural image and demeanor, she had an inherent advantage. Therefore, even these casually taken photos looked good.

”I called you just to let you know, don’t get upset over such trivial reports; it’s not worth it. As you grow more popular, naturally, some will try whatever they can to tarnish your image to gain some advantage from your fame. You have to get used to that,” Rock Bell said, ”But moving forward, be mindful of your image whether you’re out and about or whatever you do, don’t let people catch you looking unkempt, and keep taking good care of your skin. Don’t give them the opportunity to attack you over such things.”

Saying this, Rock Bell seemed to recall something and laughed, ”Who knows, before long some might start falsely accusing you of having had plastic surgery. So, regarding these reports and articles, just read them and laugh it off.”

”That’s hardly likely, right?” This time, Jane finally understood that the industry was a lot more complicated than she had previously thought.
