CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 693: Chapter 701: How Could It Be You

James Black was absolutely a wiz at organizing at home, and he had their luggage sorted out in less than five minutes.

Coco Edwards was very punctual, showing up to knock on the door at 3 in the afternoon. After lunch, Jane Sampson and James Black went for a nap and then at 2:30, James lifted her to wait for Coco.

In the car on the way to the hotel for makeup, Coco talked to Jane about the interview, ”This time, you and Mr. Carter are not the main interview subjects, so the host will only ask you two or three questions. They’ll be about your views on songwriting and filmmaking, which is why lines weren’t prepared for you in advance. In the interview, you and Mr. Carter will have to improvise.”

”Sister Tin said that this is Mr. Carter’s first public appearance since returning to the country, so there will be quite a few media reporters coming for him. Since you collaborated on a song with Mr. Carter, naturally, many people will turn their attention to you, so try to be a bit more mindful these days,” Coco advised Jane like a doting mother, ”The clothing has been sponsored by JK; I’ve confirmed it this afternoon. It’s a very pretty dress.”

”It’s not a formal dress, is it?” Jane couldn’t help asking worriedly.

Formal dresses were genuinely not necessary for the kind of event they were attending. Everyone would be dressed rather ordinarily, and it would be quite embarrassing for her to show up in a formal dress.

”Of course not! It’s a knee-length dress that works for both daily wear and formal occasions,” Coco laughed outright, ”Don’t worry so much about me or JK. Oh, right, JK mentioned that they are gifting you the dress. Sister Tin asked you to send a text to the person in charge over there at JK when you have time, just to say thanks.”

”I’ll do it right now.” Jane had the phone number of the person from JK she had worked with on the previous shoot saved in her mobile phone. She was a very easygoing, fashion-forward woman in her thirties.

After the last filming ended, Jane hadn’t kept in touch with her. This time, Jane had brought quite a lot of new clothes she bought yesterday, all prepared for various occasions. But unexpectedly, JK was providing her with clothing sponsorship.

In Rock Bell’s words, this was JK Company showing their support and favoritism towards Jane Sampson.

Upon arrival at the hotel, Jane saw the dress as Coco described—indeed a very pretty dress suitable for both daily wear and formal occasions.

Of course, to Jane’s surprise, the makeup artist waiting for her in the hotel room turned out to be Quincy Forest.

As soon as she entered and saw the person spinning in a chair, waving a makeup brush at her, Jane ran over and hugged Quincy excitedly, ”Why is it you?”

”I applied for it myself!” Quincy laughed, ”How about it? Isn’t it an amazing surprise?”

”A surprise? How could it not be? But why didn’t you fly with your brother? Your brother and I were on the same plane,” Jane said. ”If you were there too, it would have been so much more fun.”

”I came over two days early to play around.” Quincy pressed Jane to sit on the chair opposite her, ”I’ll do your makeup and we can chat. Otherwise, with our level of chattiness, if we keep talking like this, we won’t have enough time for your makeup.”

Quincy might be playful and love chatting, but she was no slouch when it came to her professional work.
