CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 399: Chapter 407: It’s Very Early

”Jane Sampson, have I ever told you?” James Black’s fingertips gently pinched Jane’s face, ”Curse all you want, call me a rascal all you like, but don’t you dare add ’old’ in front of it!”

Jane blinked at James, and then, changing tactics, she opened her mouth and let out three words, ”Old~ Overlord.”

Combined, the two characters for ’overlord’ were not as long as the sound of the word ’old’. Anyone with half a brain could tell Jane was doing it on purpose.

”You’ve really grown up,” James realized suddenly that he didn’t know what to do with Jane at this moment.

”Mark it down once, a total of three marks, and you’re in for a heavy penalty!”

Beyond that, James couldn’t think of any other method for the time being.

”Old rascal! Old Overlord! Old turtle!” After Jane spoke, she grinned and laughed triumphantly.

James felt his head ache; when Jane caused a fuss, she was really too much...

He wanted to strangle her.

”I’m going to run you a bath.” James let her go and stood up to fill the bathtub for Jane, while behind him, he could hear a certain woman’s increasingly smug laughter.

Give her three colors, and she’ll open up a dyeing workshop indeed.

In the bathroom, James turned on the tap and watched the tub gradually fill with water, then turned to look at himself in the mirror.

Back then, after a month of field training, he’d gotten quite tanned. Peter Gingery mocked him, saying he looked like an African, a bit exaggerated but he did darken several shades, indeed.

James wondered if he should ask Peter if there were any beauty products for men that could help him whiten up a bit?

Or maybe some anti-aging?

Antioxidant?

Those terms seemed to crop up often in women’s cosmetics advertisements.

As for anti-wrinkle?

After examining his face in the mirror for a long time, James was confident that he didn’t need any anti-wrinkle products yet.

And with that, he felt relieved.

A few minutes later, when he stepped out of the bathroom, the woman in the bed had already fallen deeply asleep, in a not-so-graceful position that had left her hair plastered across her face.

James approached and called out to her softly, ”Jane?”

When he didn’t hear a response, James laughed to himself; it seemed that he really had worn her out tonight.

Gently, James picked up the woman from the bed. Looking at all the hickeys he’d left on her body, his eyes darkened slightly with an intense emotion.

He adored her like this.

In his arms, she slept soundly and sweetly, as docile as a little kitten.

He also adored the way her body bore his marks.

It made her even more sexy and enchanting.

James placed her in the bathtub and washed her with gentle movements. Worried she might catch a cold from soaking too long, he didn’t let her stay in too long before lifting her out and dressing her in pajamas. Only then did he cover her with the quilt for her to continue sleeping soundly.

From this sleep, Jane felt she slept incredibly deeply, yet when she awoke, she still felt as exhausted as if she hadn’t rested at all last night, as though she’d been running all night.

Sore all over, she didn’t even want to move.

Sensing the person holding her was awake, Jane looked up at James.

”Morning,” James greeted the woman looking at him from his arms with a cheerful voice, then sat up.

”Yes, it’s very early,” Jane glanced at the alarm clock on the bedside, ”Why are you getting up this early?”

”Morning exercise,” James replied.

? ? ?

! ! ! !

Jane was immediately alarmed, clinging tightly to James’s waist, ”No going! You’re not allowed! I’m not going! And neither should you!”

The beast! After tormenting her like that last night, early in the morning, he still darn well wanted to drag her to morning exercise!

This guy’s energy must be something he got for free with a phone recharge, right? It doesn’t cost anything!
