CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 303: Chapter 311: One Purse a Week

But Jane Sampson furrowed her eyebrows and let out an ”oh,” without speaking.

Back at home, James Black went into the kitchen to store the freshly bought vegetables in the refrigerator, while Jane Sampson followed him into the kitchen like a little shadow, watching him busily at work.

Only after he had finished did she ask again, ”James Black, are you angry?”

James Black paused in the act of closing the refrigerator door and replied with strained patience, ”No.”

”Liar! You are angry!” Jane Sampson muttered, then pouted and stood at the kitchen doorway looking at him, ”I admit that I accidentally forgot you at the supermarket just now, but I swear, it was not on purpose.”

James Black stood in the kitchen with his arms crossed, towering above Jane Sampson.

Hmph, he just knew she had forgotten him.

”I’ve apologized, you can’t be angry!” Jane Sampson inched closer to James Black and tugged at his sleeve.

”Where do you feel that I am angry?” James Black asked.

”From the moment we left the supermarket to the garage, from downstairs of the building to walking through the door, you didn’t hold my hand.” Jane Sampson murmured, ”Before, you always held my hand as soon as we stepped outside.”

James Black had to admit, Jane Sampson was indeed very sensitive to people’s emotional changes.

Even when he thought he was being cool, she still sensed something.

James Black was indeed a little angry, but not with Jane Sampson. It was just that he felt suffocated, stewing in his own irritation.

”Let’s go, all these snacks are yours.” James Black, holding Jane Sampson’s snacks in one hand, reached to take her left hand with his other and led her into the living room, ”You can put these snacks on the tea table, no need to hide them.”

Jane Sampson nodded, her eyes truly sparkling and shining, ”Can I eat the potato chips whenever I want too?”

James Black just stood there, the corners of his mouth hooked in a half-smile.

Jane Sampson’s heart, seeing his smile, inexplicably sensed an ominous premonition.

Sure enough, the next second, she heard James Black say, ”Potato chips, one bag per week.”

”...” So, she was still too naive, how could James Black ever really let her be happy?

Wasn’t this guy born to curb her?

”Don’t want them?” Seeing Jane Sampson rolling her eyes and not answering, James Black intentionally asked.

”I do~” Better to have some than none, Jane Sampson responded grumpily, then let go of James Black’s hand and hugged her snacks.

Burn the bridge after crossing the river.

This was the comment James Black had in mind for Jane Sampson now; she had just been giving him a pitiable look asking him to hold her hand, and now, heh.

But still, Jane Sampson was very happy to not have to hide her snacks anymore. Now she could eat freely in front of James Black, which was undoubtedly a cause for celebration for her.

After arranging the snacks on the tea table in one gulp, Jane Sampson took out her mobile phone for a big group photo of the snacks, adjusted the color, and quickly posted it to Moments.

[Smiley face] [Smiley face] [Smile face] The snacks bought for me by someone during the great amnesty! Unfortunately, he says I can only eat one bag of potato chips per week.

The picture was the very same group photo of the snacks that Jane Sampson had just taken.

No sooner had the post been sent to Moments than the likes and comments came flooding in immediately.

Wow, did you go to the supermarket with James Black early this morning? —Auntie.

One bag of chips a week? Your life is even worse than the Great General’s. —Grandfather.

A great amnesty and still only one bag of chips per week? My princess, how have you not rebelled yet? —Little Protein Prince.

Jane dear, you’re not in the best of health, eat less, okay? James Black is looking after you, and it’s for your own good. —Grandma.

Jane Sampson! Do you want to reach the sky? Your vacation isn’t for getting fat! —Sister Tin.
