CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 301: Chapter 309: This Is Enough

”So, I got hurt while filming, right? Later, Jasmine Seven accompanied me to the hospital, and Mr. Forest just happened to be calling her. When he heard she was at the hospital, he thought she had gotten hurt and hurried over, and that’s how we met at the hospital. But it’s also a good thing Mr. Forest was there; he helped me a lot at the hospital.” Jane Sampson’s explanation was much more detailed, ”Yesterday, I came back on a plane with Jasmine Seven and Mr. Forest.”

It was then that James Black took another look at Kane Forest, ”For what you’ve done for my wife, I owe you one, President Forest. If you need anything in the future that I can help with, don’t hesitate to ask.”

After hearing James Black’s words, Jane Sampson couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

It sounded like James Black was expressing his gratitude, but upon closer examination, something still seemed weird.

Kane Forest was still smiling softly like the surface of water, without too much expression, exactly as Jane had first seen him in the airport VIP lounge.

A true gentleman.

”Did you get everything you wanted to buy?” James Black suddenly asked Jane Sampson.

”There’s still a lot I want to buy, but you don’t agree.” Jane Sampson pouted, then pointed at the shopping cart in James Black’s hand, ”But what I could buy, I’ve bought already.”

”Let’s go.” James Black turned the shopping cart around and started pushing it forward. After a few steps, when he saw Jane Sampson hadn’t followed, he turned his head and looked towards her, ”Don’t you have other things you want to buy? If you’re not going, I’ll go pay.”

”Buy, buy, buy!” Jane Sampson snapped back to her senses and almost jumped up. She hurriedly waved goodbye to Kane Forest and then ran towards James Black with a giggly smile, ”How come you’ve suddenly become so nice? I want to buy potato chips! I want biscuits! Is everything alright?”

”Hmm.” James Black glanced over at the person still standing there and then pulled Jane Sampson to his other side.

Jane Sampson, with her mind filled with thoughts of potato chips and biscuits, hadn’t noticed James Black’s subtle move.

Right now, she was just shocked, wondering why James Black had suddenly changed his mind?

Why had James Black suddenly become so kind?

”This happy?” James Black asked as he saw Jane Sampson’s eyes as if they were about to blossom into flowers.

”Happy, of course, I’m happy! James Black, today, in my eyes, you’re handsome and mighty!” Jane Sampson didn’t hesitate in complimenting James Black, and without idling her hands, she hoarded packets of potato chips into the shopping cart as if they were free.

Seeing that James Black kept silent and didn’t stop her, Jane Sampson got happier and bolder with each grab, until she looked at the cart and saw it was almost overflowing, and only then did she stop.

Dusting off her hands, ”That’s enough for now.”

The corners of James Black’s mouth twitched imperceptibly; Jane Sampson must be the most excessive person in this world.

After speaking, Jane Sampson sneakily watched James Black for a while, and seeing him nod and suggest going to pay, it was only then that real sunshine blossomed in her eyes.

From the snacks aisle to the cashier’s counter, Jane Sampson wasn’t sure if it was the shopping cart that was particularly heavy or if that was why James Black was walking especially slow.

When they reached the cashier’s counter, James Black looked around, which made Jane Sampson, standing next to him, curiously follow his gaze.

”What are you looking for?” James Black suddenly asked Jane Sampson.

”???” Jane Sampson looked up at James Black, had he stolen her line?
