CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 297: Chapter 305: Which One Do You Prefer

This kind of question, the faster Jane Sampson answered, the less credible James Black found her reply to be.

The conclusion James Black drew from Jane’s statement was exactly the opposite of what she had answered.

James’s eyes darkened slightly as he started the car and said, ”They won’t have such misunderstandings anymore.”

Given that auntie’s tendency to gossip, James was certain that within half a day, the neighbors would know that the couple living at the top of the building hadn’t divorced. Besides, they would also find out that their relationship was very good.

The ride was quiet until James parked the car in the supermarket’s underground parking lot.

After parking, James urged Jane to get out of the car and turned his head to find that she had put on her hat and mask, which made him frown slightly.

”There’s no helping it; unlike in the house where I just need to go downstairs, the supermarket is crowded. If someone recognizes me, it would be such a hassle,” Jane explained when she noticed James looking at her.

The residential community they lived in was a premium one, and the people who could afford to live there were not ordinary by any means, which made the community’s populace quite simple.

It was once jokingly said on internet forums that if someone had the chance to visit the parking garage of that community, it would be more eye-opening than going to a car show.

Although Jane’s current popularity wasn’t comparable to those traffic-garnering stars, she had spent quite a long time on the hot search list, and now, she had her own solid fan base.

”Ah, my lipstick is all covered by the mask,” Jane lamented with regret, then turned her head towards James and gave him a smile, ”Let’s go up.”

James hummed in agreement, reaching out a hand to hold Jane’s left hand. At this time, there were quite a few people going up from the parking lot, including young couples with children. Those kids were anything but quiet as they jumped around. James watched them, worried that one of them might carelessly bump into Jane.

Only after they entered the supermarket and left the group of children behind did James relax slightly. He pushed the shopping cart, and Jane walked next to him. Since they entered the supermarket, her eyes uncontrollably glanced towards the snack zone several times. ”Do you really like lipstick?” James suddenly asked.

Jane uttered an ”ah,” paused, and after realizing what James asked, she nodded, ”Isn’t there a woman who doesn’t like lipstick?”

”What color are you using today?” James asked.

”D brand number 999,” Jane replied lazily.

”What’s the difference between that and the prosperity color you used before? Aren’t they both red?” This was a question that James had held back for the entire trip.

”The previous one had a bit of orange in the red, this one is pure red; there’s a big difference. Aren’t you men particularly insensitive to colors? In your eyes, pink, red, rose, purplish-red, orange-red, are they all just red?”

After she finished, Jane suddenly remembered the internet realm’s comparison of color perception differences between women and men and couldn’t help but chuckle. In women’s eyes, there are many shades of red, but in most men’s eyes, red is just red.

James realized that Jane was teasing him in a roundabout way. He couldn’t be bothered to argue and casually asked another question, ”Between the prosperity color and today’s number 999, which one do you like more?”
