CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 249: Chapter 257: Full-time Driver

Also, what James Black didn’t know was that the reason he was still nicely in Jane Sampson’s friends list, the reason she hadn’t blocked him, was simply because Jane Sampson was worried that he would get so mad at her that he’d rush back from the guard team overnight. If that happened, she wouldn’t be able to return to her small town tomorrow.

Before sleep, after having earlier deleted all Moments where she complained about James Black, Jane Sampson posted a new one.

Some turtle egg! Annoying ghost!

The picture was still of a turtle but was now a cute and chubby comic version.

This Moment was hidden from James Black, and in just five minutes it had gathered many likes and a bunch of laughing expressions from Nina Rice.

Looking at that irritating Jane Sampson’s Mr. Black, she eventually gave James Black his real name as a note in her contacts, and that was how the long nickname vanished from her sight.

Early the next morning, the first thing Jane Sampson did was repack her luggage. She had already booked her flight ticket last night, the airplane was scheduled for 10:40 a.m., and factoring in travel time, Jane Sampson needed to leave home more than four hours in advance.

Bright Sampton took a taxi to Jane Sampson’s home building early in the morning and drove her car to take Jane Sampson to the airport.

At 6 o’clock in the morning in Capital Province, the weather was still oppressively hot.

”Mom and Dad don’t know you’re off to the northwest to film, do they?” Bright Sampton said, sighing repeatedly as he looked at the internet addict girl who had been playing games on her mobile phone since getting in the car, ”Sis, do you really think I’m your personal driver?”

”Who said that? If any personal driver were as noisy as you, they would have been fired long ago,” replied Jane Sampson with a mysterious smile, as if he understood nothing, ”We had a team this morning, Nina, Mimi Wood—not Forest, and a makeup artist friend of mine. A great lineup, you have no idea how amazing it is to play together, the kind where you just lie back and win.”

Jane Sampson got more and more into the game, and once a match was over, Quincy Forest sent her a private message in the game, asking her when she’d be back in the small town. Although Quincy Forest suffered from mild acute high altitude disease that day, it passed quickly since she was also a person who traveled outdoors often and had a strong physical adaptability.

”Already on my way to the airport,” Jane replied to Quincy Forest, and the next second, Quincy Forest sent back lots of excited expressions.

After finishing the game, Quincy Forest, also known as Jasmine Seven, said she was going to lie down and catch up on sleep until Jane came back and then went offline. Mimi Wood—not Forest—sent a message asking Jane why she was leaving so early today.

”On the way to the airport to catch a flight.” Although they didn’t know each other in real life, Jane didn’t feel it was something she needed to hide, especially since they had known each other for a significant amount of time on the internet. So, Jane told the truth.

”What a coincidence. I’m also on my way to the airport, catching an afternoon flight for a branch company meeting—oh, I feel so sorry for myself.”

After reading this, Jane Sampson smiled, the corners of her mouth curling up, and noticing Bright Sampton rolling his eyes at her several times, she didn’t reply and exited the game.

Jane Sampson naturally wasn’t very curious about strangers, so she wasn’t the least bit curious about where Mimi Wood—not Forest—was heading.

She knew Mimi Wood—not Forest—was also from Capital Province, and with the airport being so large, Jane had no plans to meet an internet friend or have a so-called chance encounter at the airport.

Having played games together on the internet for so many years, neither Jane Sampson nor the other person had ever shared a photo of themselves, so even if they crossed paths, they certainly wouldn’t recognize each other.
