CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 125: Chapter 133: Don’t Even Think About It

”Where did I go wrong...” Jane Sampson carefully ventured, ”are you saying I shouldn’t have become an actor?”

Jane Sampson admitted, deep down, she had always been afraid of James Black, especially at that moment she felt particularly fearful.

She was afraid of the man before her who seemed capable of deciding life and death, of controlling a person’s fate.

But even though she was afraid, Jane Sampson still didn’t want to admit she was wrong, because in her heart, she always believed she wasn’t.

”Wrong.” James Black tightened his arms, pulling Jane’s entire body against his own, forcing her eyes, which were wandering somewhere else, to fall upon his face, ”You were wrong not to tell me; wrong to try to get through this very important matter with ambiguous methods. It’s fine that you want to be an actor, but you should have told me before making this decision because we are husband and wife, I am your husband!”

James Black said, ”I have the right to know about my wife’s work, understand?”

”But James Black, if I had told you before today, before I embarked on this path, James Black, I want to be an actor, what would you have answered me? James Black, you would only tell me no, wouldn’t you?” Jane Sampson challenged with her lips bitten, this sentence truly took all her courage.

His gaze, like a big mountain, was so stifling she could hardly breathe.

”But James Black, being an actor, I must,” Jane Sampson said, and after finishing, she moved her eyes away stiffly, looking towards the trash can with the divorce agreement in it.

Jane Sampson’s accusation was not unreasonable. James Black was used to commanding people, used to telling them yes or no.

James Black could not argue back, knowing that if he had known earlier about Jane Sampson’s desire to become an actor, his answer indeed would have been only one: no. Noticing that Jane Sampson’s gaze was still fixed on the divorce agreement, James Black’s emotions, having just eased, flared up again.

”Don’t even think about divorce.”

As he spoke, James Black finally let go of the person in his arms, but his intent was to free his hands to pick up the contents of the trash can. He then, in front of Jane, took out a few thin documents and quickly tore the divorce agreement to shreds before throwing them back into the trash can.

This was his determination, as well as his answer.

”Jane Sampson, from the moment you entered James Black’s household registration, even in death, you should remain in James Black’s household registration book.”

After saying this, James Black sat back down on the sofa, his gaze locking tightly onto Jane Sampson, who stood there motionless, fists clenched.

She was very thin before marriage, and still very thin after.

In his memories of before marriage, that little girl who loved to eat and was chubby seemed almost to have completely faded from his memory.

”Come sit here, let’s discuss and resolve this issue,” James Black indicated the empty seat next to him, calling Jane over. After she sat down, he asked, ”So, you really want to be an actor? Why?”

”It was you who initially told me to do what I wanted,” Jane Sampson tossed the ball back quite skillfully.

James rubbed his temple. He was always resolute, never regretting anything he said.

Now, he regretted it. Why had he taught her those words before when his lovely wife loved lounging at home?

”James Black, this is the only thing I want to do now, and I will do it no matter what,” Jane Sampson said.

James Black’s gaze lingered on Jane Sampson’s face for a while before he sat back, sinking into thought, and after a long time, he suddenly hummed in acknowledgment.
