I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1310: Chapter 1309: Martial Arts Master?

After the mother and son left, Luo Yirui and the others continued dining as if nothing had happened.

The manager came over, smiling, and said, ”I apologize for the disturbance, Young Master Luo. I think it’s better to arrange a private room for you.”

Luo Yirui laughed and said, ”No need, dining in the hall is more lively.”

The manager said, ”Let us know in advance next time you come. If I knew you were coming, you wouldn’t need to queue up. The private room reserved by the boss would usually not be occupied.”

Luo Yirui waved his hand, ”Brother Su is too courteous. It’s just a meal, no need to bother with us. You go ahead and busy yourself.”

Upon hearing Luo Yirui’s words, the manager said no more.

The hotpot restaurant has a boss, and managers are usually hired. This Young Master Luo seems to be quite influential, even their boss, Su Caijin, is very courteous to him; otherwise, he wouldn’t be so assertive.

However, the turn of events was unexpected to the manager; he was already standing in the crowd from the start, but Young Master Luo gestured for him not to appear. Later, when Young Master Luo gave him the eye signal, he stepped forward as if he had already anticipated how the incident would unfold.

Finding it increasingly peculiar, the manager headed towards the surveillance room. Upon entering, he noticed someone inside, and upon recognizing who it was, he quickly said, ”Boss, you’re here!”

Inside, a young man stood by the surveillance footage, arms crossed, watching the scene of the commotion. Upon hearing, he merely responded with a ’hmm’ and continued silently. Then, when the middle-aged woman raised a chair and Luo Yirui and the others hurriedly retreated, he paused the footage, rewound a few frames, slowed the speed, and watched again.

Standing behind, the manager suspected the boss also found the incident strange. Seeing the boss occupied, he didn’t take the initiative to leave but quietly stood behind to watch.

Su Caijin replayed the footage several times before finally freezing on a particular frame. In this frame, Luo Yirui was hastily getting up, and the middle-aged woman was already coming over with the chair.

The manager stared at the screen for a long time but couldn’t notice anything amiss.

”Boss, is there something peculiar about this?” Unable to hold back, he asked, seeing the boss fixated on this frame.

Without turning his head, Su Caijin raised a hand to point at the screen, ”Do you see this position?”

The manager leaned in for a closer look, ”Is this... a chopstick?”

Seeing Su Caijin nod in agreement, he was even more puzzled. This chopstick should have been lifted when Young Master Luo stood up. What’s so strange about that?

”You don’t understand?” Su Caijin turned his head, revealing a handsome and quite young face.

The manager shook his head. Then he saw Su Caijin adjust the footage again, ”Did you see it this time?”

The manager focused on the screen. Although the image was clear, the black and white display, small screen size, and low resolution made it difficult to see the chopstick unless observed carefully. At this moment, it coincidentally hit the middle-aged woman’s elbow.

”Boss means that the woman let go of the chair because the chopstick struck her?”

The manager’s tone held skepticism; the chopstick should have been a coincidence, even if it hit the elbow. Being inadvertently lifted, how much force could it have?

Su Caijin raised an eyebrow, ”There can’t be so many coincidences. The woman was handling the wooden chair like she was playing; she surely has strength. It couldn’t have been released without reason.”

The manager found this absurd; he believed Young Master Luo had connections but claiming Young Master Luo was a Martial Arts Master? That seemed far-fetched.
