I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1278: Chapter 1277: Do You Know Who My Uncle Is?

The two of them were feeling guilty, but they weren’t afraid of these soldiers at all.

”That old man volunteered even without a signed agreement. You can’t control us just because you outnumber us!” The man raised his chin, wearing a defiant attitude as if challenging them.

Luo Yirui raised an eyebrow, ”Of course, we can’t control you without a signed agreement, but you just hit someone. If we hit back now, don’t blame us for it.”

The two men stiffened slightly, ”Watch it, you’re soldiers, supposed to protect the country, what kind of skill is it to hit us civilians? If you dare to get physical, we’ll dare to call for people!”

The deputy platoon leader was also quite troubled. In such situations, of course, they couldn’t actually get physical. However, he didn’t show it on his face, and just as he was thinking about how to scare them a little, he heard Commander Luo’s son speak up.

”Uncle, you don’t need to take action. Just watch them; the four of us will handle it!” Luo Yirui said to the deputy platoon leader, then looked at the two men with a cold smile. ”But if you dare to fight back, my uncle won’t just stand by.”

Saying this, he picked up half a brick from the side and weighed it in his hand, then said to Fu Xuan Ge and Little Fatty, ”Hit them, just don’t kill them. I’ve already prepared the medical expenses for them!”

Hearing this, the two men’s faces turned pale. They were initially reassured when this kid said the soldiers wouldn’t take action. But then they saw this young brat actually pick up a half brick. Even if he was small and weak, getting hit with a brick would be unbearable.

Moreover, they couldn’t fight back. Hitting the old man didn’t scare them, as he was just a rural person who knew no one. These four were clearly with the soldiers; if they dared to fight back, it would be like giving the soldiers a handle against them.

The man pointed at Luo Yirui and the three kids with a blustered voice, ”I’m telling you, don’t mess around. My cousin knows people in the local government. If you dare to mess around, you’ll be in big trouble!”

Luo Yirui suddenly understood, bullying with influence, right? He could do that too, so he smiled.

”Your cousin is impressive, huh? But do you know who my cousin is?” Luo Yirui paused and with great flair pointed his thumb towards the direction of the Heavenly Blessing, ”My cousin is the manager of the Heavenly Blessing Hotel. Do you believe I could make sure your store can’t operate here?”

Upon hearing about Heavenly Blessing, the two men’s faces turned a few shades darker. Their cousin had mentioned that even local government people wouldn’t dare offend Heavenly Blessing. The owner behind Heavenly Blessing was rumored to be quite influential—was this kid telling the truth or lying?

The deputy platoon leader watched Commander Luo’s son with interest. Even though he hadn’t interacted with that formidable commander, he was quite curious about the child protected by the old general. This kid was quite clever, knowing how to leverage influence—the perfect amount of pressure.

Despite the kid’s cocky demeanor, the deputy platoon leader just found it amusing. If Luo Yirui really were bullying others with influence, he could just mention his mother’s or father’s or even the old general’s connections to scare a bunch of people. So, the deputy platoon leader had a good impression of this smart and unpretentious child. No wonder he was Commander Luo’s son, protected by the old general.

Seeing the two hesitate, the deputy platoon leader said, ”Little Rui, wrap this up quickly, the old general is waiting in Beijing.”

Upon hearing this, the two no longer doubted and immediately began to plead for mercy.
