Chapter 1240: Chapter 1239: Don’t Go Down

Luo Yirui and Liu Chen immediately ran over, and seeing them approach, Little Fatty turned around and entered the room.

After the two entered, they saw two other young men examining a wallet. Little Fatty took it from their hands and handed it to Luo Yirui. Upon seeing the ID, Luo Yirui knew that this person was the one in charge here, responsible for security work.

”We need to find this person!” Luo Yirui said.

Hopefully, his guess was correct, and the door should only require a card swipe to open, with no password needed. This must be on the person in charge here. Such simple reasoning wasn’t a problem for Luo Yirui, but his fear was that the people here didn’t play by the rules.

After letting everyone clearly see the face on the ID, Luo Yirui and the others prepared to find this person. As they were leaving, he saw something black at the corner of the drawer and suddenly thought of what it might be. His eyes flashed as he removed the paper on top, and sure enough, it was a gun!

Upon seeing the gun, the others gasped slightly. This thing was still too heavy for them.

Luo Yirui looked at the handgun and put it on his body. Little Fatty couldn’t help but ask, ”Do you know how to use a gun?”

”I’ve never used a real gun,” Luo Yirui said, then suddenly remembered he had used a real gun once when he was with Hao Rong.

Little Fatty rolled his eyes. The question was if you could use a real gun; who hasn’t played with toy guns?

Luo Yirui, while leading the four to find the person in charge, was also pondering what to do.

”Brother Xiao Rui, this building is so strange. Why is there no one here?” Little Fatty asked.

Luo Yirui didn’t know why either, which made him a bit uneasy. Normally, this place shouldn’t be empty.

Liu Chen said, ”Brother Xiao Rui, why don’t we just go directly to the second underground floor? There’s no one here, and searching around is a waste of time. We saw people down there earlier. If we can catch one and ask, maybe we could get some answers.”

Luo Yirui pondered briefly and thought Liu Chen was right. Instead of wasting time in this peculiar building, it would be better to go directly where there are people.

He immediately nodded, ”Then let’s just head down, what do you guys think?”

He wasn’t really the boss, so seeking the opinions of others was very important. Luo Yirui had self-awareness in this regard; he couldn’t be responsible for others’ lives.

Little Fatty and the others all agreed with Liu Chen’s suggestion, and the five reached a consensus, heading directly underground.

They didn’t take the elevator, as that would have been too conspicuous, but instead, they went down the stairs.

Just as Luo Yirui and the others entered the first underground floor, Luo Xudong entered the first underground floor ahead of them, and at this moment, Chen Jinliang’s communication came in.

”Boss, the second underground floor is where they hid after the transfer!” Chen Jinliang said in a deep voice.

Luo Xudong’s expression tightened.

Chen Jinliang continued immediately, ”There are two Dark Mercenary Corps stationed on the second underground floor. Do not let Little Rui and the others go down!”

Luo Xudong’s expression changed, and when he turned around again, Luo Yirui and the five had already gone down the stairs. He couldn’t worry about hiding anymore and quickly chased after them.

This time they decided to launch a surprise attack because they had already tracked Director Ma’s movements and knew he was about to transfer all the evidence, but how he would transfer it wouldn’t be done outside for the time being.

They had to act now, or if the evidence was transferred, tracking it down would be so much more troublesome.
