I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1119: Chapter 1118: What Is He Looking At?

Luo Yirui scratched his head and asked, ”Is the Nie Family always like this?”

Little Fatty shook his head helplessly, ”Anyway, don’t be too surprised when things happen. Maybe Nie Yunsheng forgot about the garden party and has already gone home. You never know.”

Luo Yirui was stunned. Is this possible? Isn’t the Nie Family supposed to be very powerful? Why does this crazy clan leader not seem intimidating at all, and even a bit ridiculous?

Little Fatty didn’t want to say much about the Nie Family and Nie Yunsheng, so Luo Yirui didn’t ask further.

”I’m starving, and I don’t know what to eat for lunch. Let’s go play over there,” Little Fatty said as he touched his belly, noticing a large patch of flowers not far away with a swing there, and suggested to Luo Yirui.

”Sure.” Luo Yirui didn’t really care where they went.

He greeted Beisitian and then walked over with Little Fatty.

Though it didn’t look far, it was actually a few hundred meters away. On the way, Luo Yirui saw a few Modern Family children gathered under a big tree talking. When they saw him, they all cast their eyes on him.

Except when they noticed Little Fatty beside him, they were momentarily startled and began to whisper among themselves as they walked past.

Luo Yirui couldn’t hear what they were saying because he was too far away. He wasn’t too worried whether it was good or bad, and he knew someone among them, but they weren’t familiar.

This area wasn’t a garden; it was the side of a castle, and all these flowers were planted by someone. A cluster here and there, mainly in purple and pink, quite beautiful. But Little Fatty didn’t come to admire the flowers.

He ran to the swing and plopped himself onto it.

Luo Yirui twitched the corner of his mouth, ”Did you come just to swing?”

Little Fatty laughed cheekily, ”Why, can’t boys swing?”

”No... but it always seemed like something girls would do,” Luo Yirui said.

Actually, he used to play on swings a lot too, but not so much anymore, just accompanying his sisters.

Little Fatty didn’t mind at all, letting out a couple of chuckles, ”Come over and give me a push, I want to go higher.”

Go higher... Luo Yirui walked over expressionlessly, pushing him higher with a few swings back and forth.

If a girl was sitting on it, you’d usually hear a bell-like giggle, but with a fatty there, it’s probably more like a barbell-like laugh...

Luo Yirui noticed he hadn’t heard anything for a while, so he looked up, his eyes following Little Fatty’s swaying. Suddenly, he noticed that Little Fatty’s expression seemed off; it definitely wasn’t a happy look, more like... the look of someone watching something.

”Hey!” Luo Yirui shouted. Just then, Little Fatty quickly stretched out a hand to gesture for him to be quiet, but just at that moment, the swing swung back, and he lost his grip, screaming ”ow” as he fell flat on his face.

Luo Yirui couldn’t help but burst into laughter at this sight.

”Who’s over there?”

A soft and comforting voice came from among the flowers. Luo Yirui thought the voice sounded familiar.

Little Fatty got up from the ground and saw Jing Yuansi emerging from behind the flowers, holding a paintbrush and looking at them with a curious expression.

”Yuanxi, what are you doing here?”

Little Fatty’s one sentence dispelled Luo Yirui’s thought that he was secretly watching Jing Yuansi. But if he wasn’t secretly watching her, then what was he looking at while swinging so high just now?

Luo Yirui couldn’t help but look at the swing; he’d have to go up and take a look to find out.
