I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 494: Chapter 493: I Don’t Have a Daughter Like You

Beisitian was drinking water, almost spitting it out. She nearly thought there was something wrong with her ears. Who is Zheng Lulu’s brother? Zheng Qiwai?!

Zheng Lulu’s face showed a hint of bitterness, ”You know his name, right? Most people in traditional Chinese medicine do. He is the youngest associate professor at the Capital Medical Research Institute, and now he should be a full professor.”

If you’re not in this line of work, you naturally wouldn’t be intimidated by this title, but for those of them in the field, Zheng Qiwai’s name has become quite well-known.

Actually, Zheng Lulu would prefer if he was just a regular salaried worker. That way, as soon as she acknowledges this brother, her mother’s heartache would be resolved.

Her mother’s biggest wish is to recognize this son within her lifetime.

Beisitian couldn’t help but want to hold her forehead. Why does it have to be that lunatic?

Yes, in her mind, Zheng Qiwai is a lunatic.

”What do you plan to do?” Beisitian asked.

She didn’t mention that she knew Zheng Qiwai. The issues between her and Zheng Qiwai were too complex for her to sort out, let alone explain to Zheng Lulu.

Zheng Lulu shook her head, ”Currently, there’s no practical way. I previously thought about finding out where he lives, but all that information is confidential, and I couldn’t find anything.”

Otherwise, you’d go directly to his house, right...

Beisitian wanted to laugh, this was indeed one way to try.

”I can’t get into the Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute...” Zheng Lulu sounded increasingly aggrieved.

Before she came to Beijing, she thought she’d know how to find Zheng Qiwai, but things were quite different from what she imagined. Regular people can’t get into the Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute since the place where Zheng Qiwai is doesn’t entertain external visitors.

Beisitian smiled, ”I do know, every Thursday he returns to the 232 Military District Hospital for consultations; you could try waiting for him there.”

Zheng Lulu was overjoyed, ”Really?”

”Really, I work at the 232 Military District Hospital, and Zheng Qiwai also has consultations in the traditional Chinese medicine department. But his consultation room isn’t with ours; it’s on the sixth floor of the surgical building, marked with signs, so you can find it.”

Zheng Lulu’s mood brightened; she hadn’t expected to gain such valuable information from visiting Beisitian. It was wonderful!

In the evening, Mrs. Qin came over to cook, and upon seeing the charming Zheng Lulu, she took a second glance.

Beisitian introduced the two, and it was only then that Zheng Lulu found out Beisitian’s entire family had moved here, and that she was even pregnant!

Zheng Lulu stared at Beisitian’s belly, where a tiny life was growing!

Mrs. Qin and Beisitian invited her to stay for dinner, but Zheng Lulu quickly waved her hand, saying her mother was waiting at home, and after a few words, she left.

Wei Zhongxun and Tian Zhi had left earlier; they typically didn’t eat there, knowing that Mrs. Qin already had her hands full taking care of Beisitian and three big men, so they didn’t want to add to her burden.

On the following day, Beisitian had a day off, and Luo Xudong coincidentally had the same day off. Basically, their public holidays fell on the same day, so Mrs. Qin brought their breakfast and left, giving the couple some private space.

”Come over for lunch,” Mrs. Qin left a message and went to the other courtyard.

Zhuangzhuang scampered behind her. With one more courtyard, its activity range had grown larger, and it considered both courtyards within its territory, keeping an eye on anyone who came.

Luo Xudong hugged Beisitian, his head rubbing against her neck, feeling somewhat emotional, though he had received warnings from several women, openly and covertly, to curb his thoughts as the first three months were still unstable.

First thing in the morning, when Beisitian woke up, she couldn’t help but feel nauseous. Luo Xudong, forgetting his own feelings, hurriedly brought over the prepared small basin.

But Beisitian only dry heaved, doing so a couple of times without expelling anything.

Luo Xudong watched, feeling somewhat distressed internally, aware of the struggles of pregnancy, and this was just the beginning.

”It’s alright, I only dry heave in the mornings,” Beisitian said.
