I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 263: Chapter 262: Deep Words Between Shallow Friends

”Has he contacted the family?” Beisitian asked.

If Luo Xudong hadn’t been in touch with the family, he would be even less likely to have contacted Luo Xuhua, so Luo Xuhua must know because he had been in touch with the family.

”Yes, he contacted my parents,” Luo Xudong said.

Luo Xuhua called back and only contacted his parents without reaching out to his biological father’s side, clearly disheartened.

”That’s good; I think he’s showing genuine emotions.” Beisitian remembered Luo Xuhua’s expression upon hearing the ’bad news’ about Luo Xudong and how he cried afterward; he probably didn’t expect it and was truly saddened.

Mentioning Luo Xuhua brought a smile to Luo Xudong’s face. Even though he hadn’t been in contact with Luo Xuhua, he wasn’t unaware of Luo Xuhua’s situation.

Because Luo Xuhua once had a short-term collaboration with the Jishi Group, all legitimate, so he was well aware of Luo Xuhua’s good progress, thanks to his position.

However, due to his identity, he didn’t take over the collaboration; otherwise, Luo Xuhua would have noticed.

”My brother has been moving around places like Guangzhou and Shenzhen. In recent years, he’s also had businesses in Beijing. If he establishes himself in Beijing, he plans to expand to Shanghai,” Luo Xudong said.

Luo Xuhua’s business is quite big now, involving food products, clothing industries, and even some medicinal cosmetic and culinary products. According to his plan, he’s preparing to expand the company into Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, these first-tier cities!

Beisitian understood; no wonder he effortlessly took out two thousand, and judging by his demeanor, handing out two thousand was very casual.

”He said he’d come find me after a project in Capital City is completed,” Luo Xudong said.

Beisitian nodded, ”He must be very happy to know you’re alive.”

”Yes.” Luo Xudong recalled hearing the choked-up voice of Luo Xuhua over the phone.

He knew his brother well; even after all these years, some traits don’t change. Ever since their real mother died, Luo Xuhua had not shed a tear, not even when secretly bullied by Qin Hongmei, brutally beaten by an oblivious Luo Aiguo, or tricked by Qin Hongmei into falling into the Kao Shan River. He hadn’t shed a tear until he left.

”A man doesn’t cry easily,” too happy about knowing Luo Xudong was alive!

After Luo Xudong rejected Li Ying outright, she didn’t come for the next three days, and the third clinic felt exceptionally quiet. Except for Beisitian and Luo Jiali, the rest didn’t seem to ask much about Li Ying; they were accustomed to the tranquility.

Under Yu Shufang’s instructions, Luo Jiali began interacting with Qi Xiu Hui and was surprised to find Qi Xiu Hui’s surgical knowledge to be quite rich, with her clinical experience being the most valuable!

How does someone who doesn’t dare step onto the operating table acquire so much clinical experience?!

”Do you know anything about Sister Qi’s situation?” Luo Jiali asked.

Today, it was their turn to clean the five clinics. Although there were five, two were always vacant and only staffed when old cadres came for check-ups.

”I don’t know.” Beisitian replied.

”Don’t you think Sister Qi’s skill level is quite high? Yet, she claims she’s never been on an operating table and says she has a blood phobia,” Luo Jiali found it very strange.

Beisitian gave Luo Jiali a glance. Although they were about the same age, Luo Jiali was perceptive, noticing what others often overlooked, like Li Ying and Qi Xiu Hui.

”It’s hard to probe into such matters,” Beisitian said.

Deep words in shallow acquaintance; although she had a good relationship with Qi Xiu Hui, it hadn’t reached a point where they could share past experiences, let alone a blunt inquiry.

Luo Jiali nodded. True, even though she was curious, asking outright wouldn’t be fitting.

”It just seems like such a pity,” Luo Jiali sighed.

Beisitian didn’t comment, though she also felt it was a pity. Yet each has their life path; they might not want you to interfere.

”Xiao Bei, are you planning to study Western medicine?” Luo Jiali asked, having been curious about this for a while because she’d often hear Beisitian ask very insightful questions.

”No such plans.” Beisitian chuckled, ”I just want to learn more; it feels like a supplement to what I already know. I think Western medicine has its advantages, and understanding more can’t harm.”
