Chapter 1543 1543: The Change On Elder Mong

”I want to live.” Elder Mong made the determination.

”Yeah. Thatʼs the spirit.” Yu Qi smiled.

After that evening, Elder Mong gave 100% cooperation. He listened to all the instructions that the doctors and nurses told him to do.

Professor Song Shan was surprised by the change of attitude. At first, Elder Mong gave a cold shoulder to him and did not follow anything he told Elder Mong to do. But now...

He tried to ask the nurse about the sudden changes. He Ling did not know the full story. But she knew when the change happened.

He Ling told Professor Song Shan about the evening. Professor was curious about what Yu Qi had told Elder Mong that made Elder Mong change 100%.

After the treatment, Professor Song Shan went to find Yu Qi. Yu Qi was currently eating lunch alone. Professor Song Shan invited himself to join Yu Qi.

”Doctor Yu Qi, may I sit here?” Professor Song Shan asked.

Yu Qi was eating and nodded at the sudden question. It was not her property anyway.

Professor Song Shan started eating his lunch too.

”Doctor Yu Qi, may I ask you some questions?” Professor Song Shan requested Yu Qiʼs permission.

”Sure. What is it?” Yu Qi said.

”I heard from Nurse He Ling that you brought Elder Mong outside yesterday.” Professor Song Shan stated.

”Yes, I did after getting permission.” Yu Qi was afraid that Professor Song Shan thought she was acting without permission. Well, since Elder Mong was a secret patient.

”What did you say to him? He changed into another person this morning. I thought I got the wrong patient.” Professor Song Shan wanted to know.

”You know that Elder Mongʼs body rejects our treatment plan, right?” Yu Qi asked.

”Yes.” Professor Song Shan nodded.

”Well, it was actually his mind subconsciously rejecting the treatment making the body reject the treatment too. Why? Because he does not believe that he will recover from his illness.” Yu Qi paused for a moment before continuing again.

”He always looked outside the window. I think he wanted to go. So, I asked for permission to take him out. When he was out, he looked at the sky, longing for freedom. We talked about many places. I could see in his eyes that he wanted to go out and visit those places. So, I told him that if he wanted to go out, he needed to change his mindset. Donʼt reject the treatment. Cooperate with the doctor who wants to help you. So, that is the reason why he became like that now.” Yu Qi explained.

Professor Song Shan was speechless. He never thought about that. So, because of Elder Mongʼs mindset, his body rejected the treatment plan.

If Yu Qi did not do something like this, he thought Elder Mong would not be able to recover. He nodded several times.

”Doctor Yu Qi, you really think out of the box.” Professor Song Shan smiled.

With a doctor like Doctor Yu Qi, the patients would be fine.

.....

Grandma Wei read the news about Chi Yuanʼs life imprisonment. She was shocked to know it. She thought Chi Yuan was not doing something like that.

No... No... No... This could not be. Chi Yuan should not be spending the rest of her life in jail like this. She wanted to go and meet Chi Yuan.

”Mother, you want to go out today?” Feng Ni Lan asked when she saw her mother-in-law dressed up to go out.

”Yes. I want to go out. What? I canʼt go out?” Grandma Wei asked in an angry tone.

”Of course not. I am just asking.” Feng Ni Lan said.

”Humph!” Grandma Wei rolled her eyes at Feng Ni Lan before walking away.

”Be careful when you are out.” Feng Ni Lan told her mother-in-law.

Grandma Wei got into the car and asked the driver to send her to the Baiyun Residential area where Chi Guang Wei and Li Cui lived. She wanted to meet Li Cui.

What Grandma Wei knew was that the prison security did not allow the non-family members to meet the prisoner without the family memberʼs consent. So, Grandma Wei wanted to bring Li Cui to meet Chi Yuan.

Li Cui was surprised to see Grandma Wei here. After Grandma Wei explained to Li Cui that she wanted to see Chi Yuan and wanted Li Cui to accompany her to meet Chi Yuan, Li Cui agreed.

Both of them went to prison together. Li Cui completed the paperwork that was required to meet the prisoner. They needed to wait for a while since the police needed to call Chi Yuan over.

Grandma Wei was already waiting at the meeting place. When Chi Yuan appeared in her sight, she was shocked to see Chi Yuanʼs condition.
