”Although our 704 Shipyard has sufficient and considerable dock facilities, it is currently facing a serious practical problem - the lack of sufficient professional engineers and experienced and skilled workers.”

”It is impossible for us to recruit so many excellent engineers and skilled front-line workers in a short period of time.”

Recruiting too many employees would make the 704 Shipyard extremely bloated, causing the ”machine” that was originally running at high speed to stagnate.

This is not the result Lin Chenran wanted.

Having said this, Lin Chenran paused for a moment and did not continue.

Mr. Lin and Lin Xuan, who were sitting next to him, knew the unspoken meaning of his words.

The 704 Shipyard does not only accept warship orders from the Yan Country Navy.

Although these orders often have higher profit margins and important strategic significance.

But in the long run, the civilian ship market is the key to the sustainable development of shipyards.

Compared to the relatively limited and unstable warship orders, the demand for civilian ships is more extensive and lasting.

With the increasing frequency of domestic and international trade and the booming tourism industry, the demand for various types of commercial ships, cruise ships and other civilian ships is increasing year by year.

There is another objective factor that cannot be ignored, that is, the warship orders of the Yan State Navy are not as continuous as people imagine.

Due to the combined influence of various factors such as national military strategic planning, fiscal budget and international situation, the placement of warship orders usually involves a certain degree of periodicity and uncertainty.

This means that if the 704 Shipyard relies too much on such orders, it will easily fall into the dilemma of business fluctuations or even stagnation.

When Mr. Lin learned that Lin Chenran decided to outsource part of the warship orders to other domestic shipyards through public bidding for joint construction, he not only did not express opposition, but expressed deep understanding and support.

This is undoubtedly a wise move.

On the one hand, we can make full use of the human and material resources of other domestic shipyards to speed up the construction of warships and complete the orders of the Yan State Navy.

On the other hand, it can ensure that other ship projects of the 704 Shipyard itself will not be affected and maintain a stable and efficient production rhythm.

It really kills two birds with one stone!
……

At this time, Mr. Lin smiled kindly and nodded his head in praise, ”Chenran, this is a really good idea! It not only cleverly resolves the thorny problems faced by the current rapid construction of warships, but also takes into account the construction of other ships at the 704 Shipyard. It is very thoughtful.”

……

Lin Xuan sat quietly at the side, listening attentively to Lin Chenran’s detailed report on the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

As Lin Chenran continued to narrate, the expression on Lin Xuan’s face gradually became one of astonishment.

In just over three years, his younger brother had successfully created a huge business empire and an impressive military empire!

This is really incredible.

Lin Xuan couldn’t help but recall what the 077 Mechanical Arsenal looked like before his brother took over - at that time it was on the verge of bankruptcy.

After the careful creation and operation by his younger brother, it has been transformed and become a leader in the industry.

With such a big change, Lin Xuan deeply realized how much hard work his brother had put in.

After the Lin Chenran brothers finished their conversation with Grandpa Lin in the study, they slowly walked out of the room together and came to the spacious and bright living room.

As soon as he sat down, Lin Chenran couldn’t suppress his inner curiosity and asked impatiently: ”Brother, I think your coming home for the New Year this time is not simple. What is the reason?” Normally, important festivals like the Spring Festival are also the busiest times for the army.

As the chief officer of a special operations regiment, Lin Xuan has heavy responsibilities and it stands to reason that he would never leave the combat unit easily.

Faced with his brother’s questioning, Lin Xuan first showed a helpless bitter smile, then shook his head gently.
