Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

The person in charge of the tank decommissioning and scrapping site heard the signalman report below that the Deputy Chief of Navy Staff, Kovlevich, was coming to inspect.

At first he couldn’t believe it.

I suspect this was just a prank by the signalman.

How could a major general come to this deserted and inconspicuous place where tanks were decommissioned and scrapped?
After repeated verification, he finally confirmed the fact that Kovlevich was about to come.

He couldn’t help but feel curious about Kovlevich’s sudden visit: What on earth made this senior general come to this barren land all year round?
So, the person in charge quickly left the tavern and came to the helicopter site to welcome Kovlevich’s arrival.

……

”Lieutenant Alexander, could you please take us to the warehouse where the recently scrapped and retired tanks are stored?”

Kovlevich spoke softly.

”Yes, sir, please get in the car!”

Although Alexander was puzzled, he still asked everyone to get on the jeep first.

The airport is still some distance away from the approaching point.

So they need to get in a jeep.

”Lin, let’s go!”

Including Alexander, there are exactly four people in one car. (Alexander is the driver.)
”Alexander, this is Lin from Yan Country. You will meet each other often in the future.”

Kovlevich introduced Lin Chenran to Alexander so that the two could get to know each other.

”Hello, Lieutenant Alexander!”

”Hello, Davari!”

Lin Chenran and the other person greeted each other.

Kovlevich didn’t mind having Alexander as his confidant.

After all, working with Lin Chenran requires more ”downlines”.

Kovlevich can give Alexander a better future and make a lot of money with him.

Soon, the four of them arrived at a huge warehouse in a jeep.

There are piles of tanks that have just been retired and scrapped.

”Dear Commander Kovlevich, Lin, this is the warehouse where we store our recently retired tanks in the barren land of retired tanks.”

Alexander introduced Lin Chenran and the other person.

Lin Chenran looked at the tanks piled up in front of him and showed a look of surprise.

”Wow!”

There are all kinds of tanks in it: t54, t64 t72 and so on.

”Alexander, are there any tanks here with intact chassis and power systems?”

”Because we are making civilian engineering vehicles, we only need to improve the chassis and power system.”

Lin Chenran put forward his own ideas.

But Alexander did not answer, but turned and looked at Kovlevich beside him.

Kovlevich winked and nodded.

After Alexander received the ”agree” order, he led everyone to the scrapped and retired tanks that had just been delivered.

He calmly pointed ahead and said, ”This is the decommissioned tank that was just delivered. The power system is still in good condition.”
