Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 1: Oh my god, how did I travel through time?Chapter 1: Oh my god, how did I travel through time?

1984, spring.

The country is at a critical period of economic development, and everything must give way to the economy.

Against this background, life became increasingly difficult for the major third-line military industrial factories.

All the once glorious military industrial enterprises of Yan State are now facing unprecedented difficulties.

Faced with the grim situation, the superior leaders decided to take a bold move after careful consideration.

A group of talented graduates were selected from major universities and appointed as heads of third-line military factories.

……

”Cough! Cough! Cough!”

Lin Chenran coughed violently and looked around.

The walls around were an old grayish-white tone, the white sheets looked somewhat dazzling, and the air was filled with a strong smell of disinfectant.

”This...” Lin Chenran frowned and said to himself in confusion: ”Why did I end up in the hospital?”

He looked around, trying to find an answer, but the scene before him felt strange and familiar.

Suddenly, a thought flashed through my mind that this didn’t seem to be an ordinary hospital room.

Lin Chenran began to observe the ward carefully. He noticed that there was no air conditioning and no old-fashioned TV with only a few channels.

Suddenly, a feeling of uneasiness welled up in my heart.

Suddenly, a surge of memories flooded into Lin Chenran’s mind like a tide.

In an instant, Lin Chenran felt an unprecedented pain. He hugged his head tightly and groaned in pain.

After a while, he began to adapt and digest the influx of memories.

Lin Chenran muttered in a low voice: ”It’s unbelievable that I’m so lucky to be a member of the army of time travelers.”

”Hmm? Where’s the system?”

Lin Chenran suddenly realized that something was missing.

”Isn’t every time traveler equipped with a system?”

So, Lin Chenran began to try various ways to wake up the system. He shouted loudly, recited slogans silently, and even made strange movements, but he still got no response.

”Maybe it will take some time for the system to wake up. I will wait and see patiently.” Lin Chenran calmed down.

Then Lin Chenran sorted out his thoughts.

My predecessor graduated from Yan University and responded to the country’s reform plan to participate in the transformation of the third-line military factories with full enthusiasm.

Lin Chenran before taking office: I am confident that I can help the 077 Machinery Military Factory (Laiyang Military Factory) overcome difficulties, make it flourish and become a benchmark in the military industry.

Lin Chenran after taking office: Who the hell signed me up?

After Lin Chenran took over 077 Mechanical Military Industry, various problems followed.

As a result, Lin Chenran was so angry that he was admitted to the hospital.

The biggest problems of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal are: the loss of personnel, outdated equipment in the factory, and the cancellation of all previous small projects of the military.

The 077 Mechanical Arsenal has cut off all channels for obtaining funds.

The Yan State military had no choice but to cut military spending by more than half in order to make way for economic development.

As a result, military spending cuts have put a number of third-tier military factories at risk of bankruptcy.

The 077 Mechanical Military Factory was also affected.

Several small projects were canceled by the military.

……

Due to the lack of sufficient funds to support the operation and development of the third-line military factories.

The higher-ups decided to take a risk and adopt an unusual strategy - selecting a group of talented graduates from major universities and having them serve as heads of third-line military factories.

……

The primary problem facing Lin Chenran now is the financial situation of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

There is a serious shortage of funds on the books.

Even the factory employees’ wages could not be paid on time.

What is even more urgent is that if the funding problem cannot be resolved in time, the relevant certificates for military production and manufacturing will most likely be taken back by higher authorities.

Without new orders from the military, there will be no employees to work, and then no new products will be born.

The 077 Mechanical Military Factory was caught in a dead end. Just as Lin Chenran was in a dilemma, suddenly, a cold mechanical voice came into his mind:
