Chapter 8: A-Dai, Steady as an Old DogChapter 8: A-Dai, Steady as an Old Dog

The next day, early in the morning.

”Remember, don’t be too weak when you go out there, there are a lot of bad guys.”

”If anyone bullies you, remember to tell Rex. If he can’t afford to offend you, just bear with it for now. When you come back, tell Aunt Susan. I’ll take your village chief uncle to help you vent your anger.”

”besides……”

At the entrance of the village, Susan was chattering away, giving Rorschach instructions on what to pay attention to.

Although she said very decisive things yesterday, she still couldn’t help but come to see Rorschach and the others off in the end. Instead, her cheap father Zeus was nowhere to be seen.

Rorschach was not disappointed by this. There was no father-son relationship between him and Hughes, so naturally he had no expectations.

However, Susan’s chattering touched him a little.

Even though he was not the Rorschach they thought he was, he was still slightly moved by this unconditional love and care.

”Okay, stop nagging. I believe Rex will take good care of him, right?” Old Meng En stepped forward to stop his wife who was about to continue nagging.

At the same time he also looked at Rex.

”Definitely.” Rex replied simply.

He did not make too many promises, nor did he swear to the old Monks and his wife about what he would do, because there was no need to do so.

As a member of the Storm King family, some things are more important than life.

For example, promise and responsibility.

Rex and Rorschach left quietly and did not alarm too many people in the village.

But Huanghun Village is so small. No matter what happened, how could it be hidden from the old guys in the village?
As the two of them left, Gul’dan, the one-eyed old man who was drinking with Xiu Si in the village, looked at Xiu Si with a smile and asked:

”You really don’t want to see me off?”

”I’m just going out for some experience. What’s there to give me as a gift?” Xius picked up the metal wine jug and gulped down two mouthfuls.

”Hey, if you really don’t take it seriously, why did you go to see that kid Rex last night?” Gul’dan said with a chuckle.

”Have you forgotten how you became blind in one eye? You’re still looking around everywhere. Aren’t you afraid that one day someone will poke out the other eye as well?” Xius said indifferently.

”I was just joking, why did you resort to personal attacks? Okay, okay, okay, I won’t say anything anymore, let’s drink...”

The one-eyed old man filled his glass with wine again.

However, if you look carefully, you will find that his only remaining eye is reflecting the scene of Rorschach and others slowly walking away at the village entrance.

It was as if he was also standing at the entrance of the village, watching the two people leave.

……

Rex seemed a little uncomfortable after suddenly leaving the village where he had lived for more than ten years, and he was somewhat silent along the way.

Although he didn’t want to affect Rorschach and would occasionally chat with him with a smile on his face, it was still different from before.

In stark contrast to him, Rorschach just felt comfortable all over at this moment!

There was no other way. Staying in the village was too stressful and he was afraid that he would be exposed by accident.

As for getting along with Rex, although there are some things that need to be paid attention to, Rex is not that familiar with his predecessor after all, let alone compared with his cheap father Hughes, he can’t even compare with the old Monns.

In this case, the chances of him being exposed are naturally lower.

”I wonder how long this replacement will last. At least give me some time to rest.” Rorschach thought to himself as he sat on Ah Dai’s back.

Ah Dai was a strange beast that looked somewhat similar to a rhinoceros, except that it was much larger than the rhinoceros Luo Xia had seen in his previous life, with a body length of about seven meters and a back height of more than three meters.

This was the mount that the old Monks and his wife had specially brought before they left. They said they had borrowed it from a villager named ”Molo”.

Just by looking at Rex’s reaction at that time, Rorschach knew that this mount named Ah Dai must be extraordinary. Sure enough, the recognition of the Trash Talk Eyes also verified his guess.

It is worth mentioning that the feeling of sitting on A-Dai’s back is extremely stable. In this regard, the experience even exceeds the experience of riding in a car in the previous life.
