”The first step to mastering the laws is to make the power truly your own.”

After glancing at Qin Fang, the village chief slowly uttered these words.

That seems like a pointless statement.

Because his desire to master the power of laws is precisely because he wants to master true power.

”The first thing to do is to ’restore the original authenticity’.”

I couldn’t understand the second sentence.

”Restore...to the original state?” Qin Fang looked at it in confusion.

The old rabbit village chief took another sip of tea, his eyes clouded, and said, ”The moment the Myriad Realms Battle Domain descended, in order to make the many beings more adaptable to combat and more convenient to become carriers of the laws, possessing the power to drive the laws, all beings were replaced from flesh and blood bodies with ’puppet bodies’... Under these circumstances, the beings’ sense of pain was greatly reduced, and attacks that were not lethal could not cause physical injury...”

”This naturally has both advantages and disadvantages.”

”The advantage is that it makes living beings more fearless... Pain is a natural protection for living beings. Without the stimulation of pain, puppet-like living beings are naturally more willing to fight. At the same time, they lose their vital organs... All of these are advantageous in battle.”

”But the drawbacks are also obvious... It will numb living beings, making them completely slaves to the fragments of the laws. At the same time, they will be unable to possess any power that truly belongs to them.”

”Puppet... You can roughly guess from the name. All the power in its body comes from the infusion of the Myriad Realms Battle Domain, and it is completely taken away by the Myriad Realms Battle Domain... Such a puppet cannot cultivate laws, nor can it cultivate its own power.”

puppet!
Qin Fang was moved.

then……

He couldn’t help but sigh.

...Isn’t it just a puppet?

Skills are fragments of laws, and living beings are the carriers of those laws. In order to activate the laws, power is poured into them from thin air...

How is this any different from a robot?
A pile of scrap metal is artificially crafted into various parts, eventually assembled, and powered by electricity or some other energy source... Once the energy source is cut off, it becomes a pile of scrap metal again...

Puppet body...

Energy body...

Qin Fang pursed his lips.

He learned the nature of energy bodies.

But I still hesitated.

”Returning to my true self... what do I need to do? If I return to my true self, will I still be able to use my skills?”

”It’s just about restoring your original state, not about severing your connection with the Myriad Realms Battle Domain. The various powers you’ve gained are also rewards from the Myriad Realms Battle Domain... For example, why do you get experience points after entering a dungeon? And why do you gain various powers after your experience points are full?... These are actually rewards from the Myriad Realms Battle Domain for battle.”

”But the Battlefield of Myriad Realms also encourages living beings to comprehend the laws... otherwise, I would not exist here.”

”Therefore, returning to your original state will not make your power disappear. Rather... all the power you have now will become a huge help for you to comprehend the laws and acquire your own power later.”

”But once you return to your true form, you will no longer be a puppet, but a being of flesh and blood. You will have fatal weaknesses, experience extreme pain, and even become maimed... unless you reach a certain level on the path of the laws.”

”And some abilities unique to the puppet body will also be lost. For example... resurrection.”

Old Rabbit’s cloudy eyes seemed to see right through Qin Fang: ”After all, you are no longer a puppet, but a real living being of flesh and blood.”

”The path of laws is never an easy one. Seekers of the Dao die on the path... There are far too many examples of this. If you die, the fragments of laws contained within your body will naturally disintegrate and eventually be bestowed upon other beings by the Myriad Realms Battle Domain...”

Old Rabbit’s words stunned Qin Fang.

He fell into deep thought and hesitation.

But in the end, he let out a soft sigh.
