I Live on the Land in Global Games

In nature, animals with a similar lifestyle to Beastmen have natural predators, and without human interference, their numbers are maintained within a reasonable range, without causing significant harm to the environment.

But Beastmen were different, as they had language and far greater intelligence than animals.

Wolves are the natural predators of sheep, but Wolf Clan Beastmen wouldn’t eat Sheep Clan Beastmen, and they could even communicate with each other. At most, the Sheep Clan Beastmen would be bullied by the Wolf Clan Beastmen, but they would not eat each other.

The Beastmen’s fecundity was not poor either; their numbers increased briskly, lacking natural predators and aside from the fact that they did not engage in production, their continual extraction of resources from nature meant that they would inevitably lead to the exhaustion of natural resources.

Were those wastelands truly barren from the outset?

If these were mere conjectures, then when she saw the grasslands nibbled bare by the Rabbit Clan Beastmen, conjecture turned into reality.

Perhaps for a short while, their excessive extraction from nature without giving back would not lead to the degradation of Bear Country itself, but in the long run, the wastelands of today might be Bear Country’s future.

And once the Beastmen ran out of food and could no longer survive, with their average strength not poor, in fact, rather strong, wouldn’t it be an obvious choice for them to invade regions rich in resources, relying on their combat prowess?

Just as they were now trying to take over the lands of Bear Country with better resources, annihilating several No Master Camps.

How far off could future wars be?

Even if they were the ones causing environmental destruction, and continuing to do so without looking back, under Mu Ying’s Eye of Nature vision, there was no dark presence that nature abhorred.

Although the natural power in them was so faint it was almost invisible, they were not abhorred by nature.

Why?

Mu Ying was baffled.

It was only when she saw a group of Wolf Clan Beastmen eat their prey, leaving nothing to waste, not even the internal organs, and cleaning their plates thoroughly, that Mu Ying realized the Beastmen plundered for survival.

They were simply trying to stay alive, living so sparingly that not even the slightest resource was wasted.

Any life form that takes from nature for survival, even if it wounds nature all over, will still not be abhorred by it; in fact, natural power would still surround them.

The tolerance of nature touched Mu Ying.

As if in response to her realization, natural power flowed into the Natural Bracelet.

Following that, all effects of the Natural Bracelet were enhanced compared to before.

Recovery Spring now condensed more water each day, Feedback Claw could harvest more daily, Wild Tooth provided a stronger boost to the Wild Form than before, Balance Scythe did more damage to creatures abhorred by nature, and the protecting power of Guardian Armor was also strengthened, increasing Mu Ying’s overall strength by a notch.

Every time she understood nature a bit deeper, Mu Ying felt proud to be a Druid, fortunate to protect nature.

Nature, in its benevolence, tolerance, and selflessness, is the cradle of life, and something no personified God can compare with.
