Chapter 85 Congratulations and New Enterprise

On August 5th, 2024, Michael arrived at the Marriott Hotel in Newport Resorts Manila. As he entered the main lobby, the concierge promptly recognized him and offered assistance.

”Good evening, Mr. Reyes. How can I be of service?” the concierge inquired with a professional demeanor.

”I want you to inform my arrival to Ms. Bridget von Reimann, tell her it’s urgent,” Michael requested without delay.

The concierge nodded, understanding the urgency of the request. ”Certainly, Mr. Reyes. Please, make yourself comfortable in the lounge while I notify Ms. von Reimann of your arrival.”

Michael thanked the concierge and made his way to the lounge, settling into a plush chair with a clear view of the entrance. He checked his watch, knowing that time was of the essence.

Within minutes, the concierge approached Michael.

”Sir... Ms. Bridget von Reimann is waiting for you at her suite. Do you need any assistance?”

”No, there won’t be any,” Michael responded, standing from his seat. ”Thank you for your help.”

He followed the directions provided by the concierge to Bridget von Reimann’s suite. The urgency of the situation had escalated with the recent developments in the financial markets, and Michael knew that their meeting could set the course for their next strategic moves.Updated from

Arriving at the suite, Michael knocked a few times before hearing Bridget’s voice from the other side.

”Come in.”

Bridget’s interest piqued, she leaned in, ”Pharmaceuticals, that’s a big leap. What kind of medicine are we talking about? Anything specific in mind?”

Michael hesitated for a moment, his expression turning serious. ”The specifics are still classified.”

”Classified?” Bridget repeated.

During his encounter with his father, Michael made sure to exact revenge on him for leaving him and his mother by toppling UniVida Pharmaceuticals from its top-ranking position as the country’s largest pharmaceutical company. He intended to introduce groundbreaking innovations in the pharmaceutical sector that would significantly disrupt the market and challenge the dominance of established players like UniVida, and possibly the international pharmaceutical companies.

And in the system, he saw one thing that would definitely rake in some cash. A cure for cancer.

Now it’s not going to be a pill or anything, it’s going to be a sort of a pod, it’s called MediPod. It utilizes a combination of advanced diagnostics, nanotechnology, targeted drug delivery systems, and precise robotic surgery tools. The idea is for the MediPod to diagnose, treat, and potentially cure various types of cancers with minimal human intervention, significantly reducing the risk of human error and the need for invasive surgical procedures.

The MediPod’s core technology revolves around its ability to conduct real-time, full-body scans using a combination of MRI, CT scans, and advanced PET technologies to detect and localize cancerous cells with unprecedented accuracy. Once identified, the pod employs nanobots programmed to deliver highly targeted chemotherapy agents directly to cancerous cells, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues. This targeted approach not only enhances the efficacy of the treatment but also significantly reduces the side effects typically associated with conventional chemotherapy.

The final component of the MediPod’s treatment process involves a regenerative medicine module that uses stem cell therapy and tissue engineering techniques to repair or regenerate damaged tissues and organs post-treatment. This holistic approach not only aims to cure the cancer but also to restore the patient’s health to its pre-cancer state as much as possible.

It was invented in the year 2089, by a group of scientists who wanted to end the most feared disease in the world, cancer.

”Okay, you won’t tell me what it is then I’d say good luck on your endeavor,” Bridget said, a tinge of disappointment in her tone. ”Look, since you are here, Michael. I’d want to announce something to you.”

”What is it?” Michael asked.

”I’m going back to Germany next month, I want you to come with me.”
