The Daily Life Of A Cyberpunk Magician

Chapter 552 - 289: If Sister Feels She’s Been Cuckolded_3
Tingruo was sitting on the sofa, watching a horror film on a huge screen television. She was dressed in a thin silk nightgown, holding a thick bundle of blankets.

It seemed a bit cold, so she tucked her feet inside the blankets, but just held onto the bundle without covering herself.

This was characteristic of Tingruo; she always felt comfortable holding a big bundle of blankets and disliked the stuffy heat from the central heating. Even if it made her freeze several times, she would still do as she pleased.

”I’m back.” Jiang Shu put the groceries in the refrigerator and then sat down next to Tingruo with some snacks and a cake. He pulled the bundle of blankets from her arms and covered her with them.

He glanced at the screen where the latest horror film was playing.

While projection technology had advanced significantly, the clarity and viewing experience of these large screen TVs, which had a physical presence, were still superior.

”Here, I specially went to zone E to buy you this cake,” Jiang Shu said, placing a small cake on Tingruo’s lap and setting the snacks on the coffee table. ”This is your favorite snack. Go ahead and eat, just remember to brush your teeth before sleeping.”

Tingruo, however, ignored him, seemingly upset about something, her eyes fixed only on the horror film on the screen.

She merely opened her arms wide.

Jiang Shu let out a resigned laugh; he understood Tingruo’s intention.

Opening her arms meant she wanted a hug because Jiang Shu had taken away the blanket she was holding, so she needed something else to replace it.

Thus, a rather eerie scene unfolded on the sofa where Jiang Shu just let Tingruo hug him, quietly watching the movie together.

In the silence, a small cake was quickly consumed, so Tingruo pointed to the snacks on the table and hummed through her nose, ”Mmm.”

Jiang Shu brought the snacks over; he didn’t choose since all of them were Tingruo’s usual favorites.

The snack bag was empty in no time, and the movie was also nearing its end.

Tingruo turned off the TV, turned around and hugged Jiang Shu, their necks rubbing against each other in an awkward tangle, and she yawned, wrapping around Jiang Shu like an octopus, her legs coiled around his waist.

She breathed a soft, fragrant breath near his ear, ”Let’s go upstairs to sleep.”

”Mmm,” Jiang Shu nodded, carrying her upstairs in his arms.

He entered the room, bent down to let Tingruo’s back meet the bed and then gently tapped, ”Come down now.”

However, Tingruo did not let go of her limbs; instead, she leaned in and bit Jiang Shu’s earlobe lightly.

Though no words were spoken, the seductive intent behind her actions was clear; with their shared experiences, this was already a form of a secret signal to Jiang Shu.

”Let’s not tonight,” Jiang Shu carefully put Tingruo down, declining her advances. He took off his coat and headed towards the bathroom, ”I’ll take a shower first, let’s sleep early.”

He couldn’t help it; the depletion of spiritual power was significant, and he really wasn’t in the mood.

After he closed the door, Tingruo sat up, looking in the direction Jiang Shu had gone, blinking incredulously as if she couldn’t believe what had happened.

Jiang Shu...

rejected her?

Her brows furrowed lightly as she replayed the evening’s oddities about Jiang Shu.

She calculated the distance and the time.

Even if he dropped Su Xiaoou off and then went to zone E to shop, it wouldn’t have taken that long.

He also specifically bought her favorite cake.

She had heard about it; once men do something guilty, they immediately think about appeasing their wives.

Tingruo’s expression turned solemn as she picked up Jiang Shu’s coat and took a deep sniff.

She hadn’t minded before, but now, the coat clearly smelled of women’s perfume.

It wasn’t the kind of light or sweet fragrance teenage girls prefer but a slightly pungent scent, usually favored by women aged over twenty-seven.

It aligned with his taste, and he rushed to shower the moment he got home to destroy any evidence, plus the most critical thing...

”Wise Time.”

This thought darkened Tingruo’s face even more as she looked towards the bathroom, her eyes now shadowed with an indescribable hue.
