Chapter 335 - 207 Deception Logic and Sky Pavilion_3
Chapter 335: Chapter 207 Deception Logic and Sky Pavilion_3”Mm.” Jiang Shu nodded.

”This process of assigning Derivative Entries is crucial.” Liu Tingruo spoke confidently. Based on the data and the situation provided by Tablet Spirit, she came to this conclusion, ”Assigning Derivative Entries actually links your spiritual power with the audience’s, making them the source of energy for your Derivative Entries.”

Then, she added, ”And the process of using Derivative Entries works like this: your spiritual power acts as a ’switch,’ utilizing the audience’s spiritual power as the energy source.”

”But based on the added data, there should be a protective rule for the audience; Derivative Entries will only consume their surplus spiritual power, not forcibly overdraw it, nor will it cause them any physical or mental harm.”

”So, if the number of spectators for a magic show is too small and their spiritual power is insufficient to support your use of Derivative Entries, then you would have to expend more of your own spiritual power, or you might not be able to use it at all.”

Liu Tingruo spoke all her speculations in one breath.

”This...” Jiang Shu furrowed his brows slightly, starting to ponder the reasonableness of it.

Almost in an instant, he thought about the book test he had performed in front of Su Xiaoou alone. Through the book test, he had acquired the ability to perceive ”mood colors.”

This ability wasn’t strong, but the consumption was terrifying.

According to Liu Tingruo’s theory, this was because there was only one spectator, the available spiritual power resource was too little, so it had to heavily consume his spiritual power.

Looking at it this way, the theory made a lot of sense, especially since that particular Derivative Entry had felt very strange to him at that time.

So weak, yet so stubborn.

Other magic acts, starting with House of Cards, maintained a consistently high number of spectators, so the consumption of their Derivative Entries was different, actually just because their effects were different.

”The way to sever this link is written on the Deception entry, ’exposed publicly’” continued Liu Tingruo. ”When this condition is met, the link is severed, and the Derivative Entry disappears.”

”As for this point, let me think...” Liu Tingruo pondered her wording but then suddenly, she asked, ”What do you think the Mysterious Coefficient is?”

”Mysterious Coefficient? What is that?” Jiang Shu was taken aback, not expecting Liu Tingruo to suddenly change the subject.

”Logically, the Mysterious Coefficient should only be 0 and 1, after all, there’s only a difference between ’having’ and ’not having,’” Liu Tingruo explained. ”But the Mysterious Coefficient is actually other people’s perception of your profession; if they think you have it, your Mysterious Coefficient is high, but generally, the Mysterious Coefficient does not change.”

She added, ”It might be because your magic deceived the audience’s senses, such as sight and hearing, creating a ’sense of mystery,’ hence the occurrence of Derivative Entries, while the process of being publicly exposed destroys this sense of mystery and makes the Derivative Entry disappear. But the core condition is the ’publicly exposed’ part.”

”So, from the conclusion we have now, spiritual power is likely a very special kind of energy, never observed in the history of Lonely City.” Saying this, Liu Tingruo became somewhat excited; her eyes were filled with a desire for knowledge and exploration, ”Just the overflow of spiritual power from a few thousand people can achieve these things, so if we could gather the spiritual power of all the people in Lonely City...”

Jiang Shu’s heart suddenly beat fiercely.

How terrifying would it be if they could gather the spiritual power of all the people in Lonely City as Liu Tingruo suggested?

And he had just had a similar idea...
