Chapter 287: Chapter 188 Declaration of War (Wait for me, there’s one more Chapter)_3”Boom—” A huge blast roared, dull as thunder, and a distant building began to slowly tilt, gradually shrinking and collapsing.

”What I am about to say is simple.” The perspective switched again, and the screen showed a close-up of a blond man’s face not looking at the camera but leaning out of a window observing something.

A row of rockets dragged flames across the background of the video, flying towards the distance.

”Gentlemen, welcome to war.”

The screen instantly went black, leaving only the puzzled faces of the people in the theater.

Jiang Shu quickly unlocked his wristwatch, searched for the video, and repeatedly played it with earphones.

Clover, then...

Had it begun?

This sudden outcome was truly unexpected; he thought Clover would continue to accumulate strength.

How long had Clover been out of the Special Prison?

Yes, he indeed had a knack for stimulating people’s spirits and had been preparing for a long time, but that didn’t mean he was now qualified to challenge the Three Major Groups, especially in such an irrational manner.

Jiang Shu furrowed his brow; if it were up to him, he might not compare to Clover in most planning aspects, but he would have chosen the classic approach of dividing and aligning.

At the very least, he would secure the support of the historical nobles and some corporations outside the Three Major Groups.

Relying on such minimal strength was nothing short of overestimating oneself.

And the most crucial thing was...

Clover had always shown a strong desire for his abilities, eagerly wanting to recruit him, but now he suddenly went solo.

This truly surprised him.

Had Jiang Shu been cautious in all respects only to find that he might not be involved at all?

At that moment, Xiao Jia approached, guiding Jiang Shu toward the factory restroom.

Jiang Shu understood and followed it into the men’s restroom.

As soon as they entered a stall, Xiao Jia displayed the analysis results on the screen.

Jia: ”These images contain many people.”

It pointed out and magnified several pixel blocks, all similar grey silhouettes; it rapidly circled dozens, but, clearly, there were even more in hidden corners.

Jia: ”These should be Clover’s forces, and they seem to be fighting against the regular troops of the Huang Kong Group.”

Jia: ”Based on combat training and weapons, Clover’s forces seem to comprise ex-soldiers.”

”Ex-soldiers?” Jiang Shu paused; he had never considered this scenario.

Come to think of it, he had always been curious about Clover’s conventional military power.

Clover’s advanced combat forces, Jiang Shu could easily imagine, like the Key Master, the Mutants, and various other things.

However, although wars were no longer won solely on numbers and bravery, it was impossible to have no conventional forces at all.

The Three Major Groups tightly controlled Combat Sequences, so Jiang Shu could not figure out where Clover might have gotten conventional forces.

Armed civilians? Or possibly armed gangs?

Now Xiao Jia had provided an answer—ex-soldiers.

The groups did not control ex-soldiers any longer and hardly cared about them since they no longer held much utility.

Jiang Shu walked out of the men’s restroom, finding the crew inside the factory had regained calm.

It seemed everyone had regarded the video as a farce.

But Jiang Shu’s gaze inadvertently settled on Li Yuntang, who was returning to her bag with a solemn expression, said something to Ye Zheng, then quickly left the factory.
