Chapter 196: Chapter 155: Self-Taught Master Su_3And so his gaze towards Su Xiaoou became strangely curious. How did this guy know about this thing?

Magic she couldn’t learn, yet she had mastered this without a teacher?

”Hey, just like last time, twenty per play, where the ball lands determines the price, whether you can break even all depends on that little bit of control ability you have on your hands,” Su Xiaoou said very street-smartly to the three people in front of her, ”Look, for someone like me, it is super easy to hit a hundred.”

After saying this, she demonstrated once more. She lightly pulled the spring, and the ball went straight towards the channel labeled ”100.”

”I know this is the one hundred, let’s play five times,” said the man in front of her as he licked his lips, starting to try.

He watched with excitement as the ball dropped into the channel marked ”50” and couldn’t help but exclaim, ”Hey! Fifty!”

Huh?

Jiang Shu was somewhat puzzled. Shouldn’t it be ”0”? Could it be that Su Xiaoou really relied on luck?

He looked at Su Xiaoou’s hands and feet. Logically, it was possible to tamper with this thing.

A table pinball game without any tricks is soulless.

”Damn, why is it all 0s.” The following three tries all ended with undesirable outcomes, each landing on ”0,” so the man mumbled in a slightly agitated tone.

B: A total population ”zero-ization.”

The last turn barely made a ”10”; overall, he still lost forty bucks, but there was not a hint of discouragement on the man’s face.

”Not bad, you’ve made a lot of progress since yesterday,” Su Xiaoou nodded, handed him sixty in change, and pocketed the hundred. She glanced at the man, contemplated for two seconds, and pulled out a deck of tarot cards from beneath the table, ”Same as usual, you also have a chance at divination today.”

”Okay.” The man nodded. Playing five times earned him one chance at divination—much more affordable compared to the Tarot Master down the next street.

Don’t be fooled by this young girl’s age; her divination ability far surpassed that woman’s, at least he had found a decent job under her guidance yesterday.

After Su Xiaoou shuffled the cards, she pulled out a board and placed it on the table, then spread out the deck of tarot cards, ”Like yesterday, come on, pick one for yourself, no need to show me.”

”Okay.” The man picked one, which was a card named ”Wheel of Fortune.” After looking at it, he put the card back.

Su Xiaoou shuffled again, and then accurately flipped over a card, which was indeed ”Wheel of Fortune.”

”Is this the one?” she asked the man in front of her, her face serious.

”Yes, yes, that’s the one.” The man nodded eagerly, another reason he believed the Tarot Master truly had real skills.

She could always pick out the card he chose without looking, as if it was meant to be.

”This is a...” Su Xiaoou paused, ”’Wheel of Fortune.’ It symbolizes the unpredictable nature of fate, meaning that something very important is about to occur.”

”Mmhmm.” The man nodded. He had just found a job, and his life was still unstable; indeed, something important was bound to happen.

”Unlike other Tarot Masters who can only predict your fate, I can change it,” Su Xiaoou continued. ”You draw a card, and I draw the same card, proving that our fates are aligned. But as you know, tarot cards are read upright or reversed, with upright symbolizing good things and reversed symbolizing bad things.”

”Right, I know that,” the man wasn’t confused.

”So this method, this seated orientation allows me to take on the risk of the reversal, while you get to enjoy all the good things the upright position brings,” Su Xiaoou said solemnly. ”’Wheel of Fortune’ in upright means sudden good luck, good luck in all aspects; while in reverse, it means sudden misfortune. Let me take on your misfortune for you. After all, we are fated, and you’ve allowed me to earn some meal money.”

”Ah, Master Su, this money... I should give it back to you,” the man returned the sixty in change to her, recalling what his friends had said before, that Master Su was a person with real talents. He then thanked her, ”Thank you, Master, for sparing me from disaster.”

”Indeed, at least one thing is for certain, you were due for a disaster.”

Jiang Shu walked up from behind, grabbed Su Xiaoou by the back of her neck, and lifted her up as if picking up a small cat.
