Chapter 125: Chapter 122: Playing Well Equals Cheating? (4000-word Mega Chapter!!!)_3Nothing happened, just spent all day debating with Clo or thinking about finding Sister Ruo. Don’t even think about how decadent prison life could be.

Of course, it seemed like a choice he made himself. He could have been exploring the containment facility with Clo, but he chose to search for Sister Ruo instead.

You could say Sister Ruo was number one in his world.

”Stirring up trouble? There used to be some, but they all got poisoned,” Clo said nonchalantly, ”No idea who started the trend, but every B-level inmate is a master toxicologist.”

”...” Jiang Shu didn’t know what to say, and the two fell silent.

After a long while, Clo continued, ”Help me out after you get out? High pay, low labor, food and accommodation included.”

”No,” Jiang Shu shook his head, an expression of firm refusal on his face, ”Isn’t it better to live honestly with a new identity? You’ve been in prison for five years.”

”I definitely won’t get caught this time,” Clo chuckled, looking toward the azure sky and the vast expanse of white clouds, his gaze growing deeper.

He seemed to fall into reminiscence, his voice filled with a sense of mourning something, ”I used to be like you.”

”Hm?” Jiang Shu perked up his ears to listen.

”Not wanting anything,” Clo murmured, his voice just loud enough for Jiang Shu to hear.

Jiang Shu’s face was serious, ”No, I need money, and I need women.”

”...” Clo paused, then seriously said, ”I’ve had all those.”

”So for the pursuit of... a sense of achievement or maybe excitement, you left your family to develop an evil empire?” It was incomprehensible to most, but Jiang Shu understood, at least in part.

Because a life without ripples was just too boring.

”Maybe, or perhaps for a nobler cause, who knows?” Clo didn’t elaborate. He stood up and walked to the edge of the recreational area, where a double-layered wire fence stood.

It was already after ten, the exact time when the prison guards would change shifts. The four prison guards who were on duty in the recreational area were leaving for lunch, and the other four were on their way over.

If they were strictly following protocol, the recreational area would always be under the watchful eye of the prison guards. However, since the establishment of the Special Prison, there hadn’t been a successful prison break, and the wire gates had always been locked...

With such a lax attitude toward duty, during those five minutes of shift change, the guards weren’t distributed around the recreation area. Instead, they waited by the gate early.

And for those five minutes, it was the best window for Clo and another to make their escape.

A sturdy wire fence blocked their path, three meters high with razor wire at the top to prevent prisoners from climbing over.

This was also a blind spot for nearby surveillance cameras.

Clo pulled out two steel tubes and a joint from his trouser leg, which, when assembled, turned into a large pair of pliers. Then, he turned his attention to the alarm connected to the wire fence—once the fence was tampered with, the alarm would immediately go off.

”How are we going to do this?” Jiang Shu asked.

”I’ll climb up and dismantle it. It’s a simple mechanical device,” Clo answered, and then quickly scaled the fence and took the alarm apart.

At the same time, Jiang Shu used the pliers to rip a gap in the wire fence but soon froze, looking at the second layer of wire fence.

The second layer was one meter away from the first and was electrified.

”Electrified?” Clo furrowed his brows, not having considered this. The inner layer of the fence was non-electrified to prevent harming the inmates, so he had subconsciously assumed the outer layer would be the same.

”Whoosh—” Suddenly, Jiang Shu threw out the Black Card in his hand, flinging two in quick succession, precisely severing the alarm’s two connection points.

Clo turned around, looking at Jiang Shu in shock.

Jiang Shu pursed his lips, pondering for two seconds:

”Playing well means cheating?”
