Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

93: What are you doing!“Alright, alright, once you’re done scoring this entry cards, move on to the next one. Don’t linger here.”

Card Master Meng Nanxun, like a mother hen, urged the judging panel to move on to the next entry cards, not to stay in one place.

There was nothing they could do; although not all the judges were Card Makers, their passion for cardss was undeniable. Practically everyone owned a cards exhibition room, and they would often invite others to visit.

So, when they saw a good cards, they all wanted to collect it. Some Card Makers even thought it would be even better if they could make it themselves.

However, their main job today was to score the competition cardss, not to tour an exhibition.

Thus, everyone reluctantly placed the Telescopes back on the counter. Their hands had let go, but their eyes were still glued to them.

Xu Bai noticed the judges’ fondness and said, “If you want them, just take them. One is enough for the exhibition.”

Hearing Xu Bai’s words, Sun Puge immediately bristled and demanded, “What are you trying to do?!”

Xu Bai was startled by his accusation. He didn’t realize what he had done wrong and didn’t understand why he was so angry.

Everyone nearby who heard Elder Sun’s voice also looked over.

What happened?

Why was Elder Sun so angry?

The reporters wondered: Is tomorrow’s headline news already here?

The corporate representatives wondered: Is Elder Sun trying to take advantage of the situation and buy the authorization for this cards?

At this moment, Yang Haoran, as the team leader, immediately walked over and smoothed things over, saying, “I apologize, this is his first time here. This Telescope cards was made under his guidance, so he just said it offhand. He wasn’t trying to bribe anyone.”

“Yes, yes, Old Sun, you need to change your temper. Who only gives one item as a bribe? You’re mistaken. And young man, Elder Sun didn’t mean it intentionally. There’s nothing we can do; as judges, too many people try to pull strings. So, you should take this back. When you produce them, we can buy them. As for giving them away, if you want to, you can give them to us after the competition ends. We’d be very happy to receive them.”

Another judge, Lu Zhengde, heard their conversation and walked over with a smile to mediate.

He was Sun Puge’s friend and understood his old friend’s personality perfectly: he was just a stubborn old man.

When his old friend was young, someone who pulled strings pushed him out of his position as research lab leader, but he didn’t end up destitute.

Because he was highly capable and proud, if one place didn’t want him, another would. He resigned directly and then joined a Government research lab. The Government also valued talent and immediately made him the leader of a research lab.

The person who took his position, due to a lack of ability, never had any good cards products researched and developed in the lab, which eventually led to its closure.

Although the final outcome was good, he still strongly detested the act of pulling strings.

Furthermore, because of this competition recently, many parents wanted to pull strings, hoping their children’s cardss would win awards to get extra points for future Higher Academy admissions. They desperately tried to give gifts to the judges, which is why Elder Sun reacted so strongly when he heard Xu Bai mention ’giving.’

Of course, Elder Sun had his principles and would apologize when he made a mistake, which is why the two of them had been good friends for many years.
