My Items Have an Upgrade Panel

the company’s fighter had not been manufactured yet, but tang rui’s own assembly workshop had already built one.

no wonder a few days ago, the material experiments had all been halted, and he had specially cooperated with tang rui to make various components. it turned out they were making fighter planes.

however, who would have thought of this?

“hehe… brother lin, look at this fighter jet. isn’t it beautiful?” tang rui said with a smile.

“beautiful. the military has expressed an interest in purchasing one.”

“just one?”

“one, initially. we’ll have it go through various tests. if there are no problems, we’ll purchase more.

“president tang, give me a price so that 1 can respond to the higher-ups.”

price?

tang rui had a slight headache.

he had spared no expense in building this fighter jet.

if the price were based on the cost of his fighter jet, the military would be shocked.

not at that price.

he didn’t know how much a fighter jet cost. after all, they hadn’t even started building it.

“there’s no rush to quote a price. we’ll wait until the company’s prototype is built. i used a lot of other technology in this one. it’s too costly. the military can’t afford it.”

tang rui explained the situation. he wasn’t planning to overcharge the military; he wanted to be honest.

“spending money? president tang, may i ask, how much is the cost of this fighter jet?” lin chao asked with a frown.

according to the military, they simply wanted to know if tang rui was willing to sell the fighter jet. the military was also anxious because they knew other nations had a sixth-generation console, but theirs was based on tang rui’s technology.

therefore, they needed to buy one for testing, and based on the performance after the test, they would derive and simulate future aerial combat and develop new tactics.

“i won’t disclose the cost. just tell the higher-ups that the wings of my fighter jet have been coated with 600 layers of nano-coating technology, and the thickness is no more than 5 millimeters. the anti-stretching parts of the wings and the interior of the body are made of a mesh layer woven from carbon nanotubes combined with ultra-high-strength composite materials and high-temperature-resistant materials.”

tang rui explained and gave an honest response.

lin chao didn’t press further after hearing this. just the craftsmanship alone would cost a fortune, not to mention those high-performance materials, which had not yet been mass-produced.

“old feng, what’s the matter?” tang rui looked at feng yuanxing beside him and asked.

“president tang, do we still have to continue building the prototype?”

feng yuanxing asked.

“of course, we have to build it. this fighter jet is my private jet. the one made by the company is for sale.”

“okay, president tang, 1 understand.”

after chatting for a while, everyone left to attend to their own tasks. tang rui also returned to the laboratory.

he stood on the mechanical platform and allowed the mechanical arm to remove his armor.

this was also a ceremonial act.

in fact, there was a disassembling system in the armor. as long as he wanted to take off the armor, the connection device inside would be disconnected.

at that point, taking off the armor would be easier than removing clothing. he could simply pull it down.

in the evening, when li shuyao returned home, she was very surprised to find tang rui lying on the sofa in the living room, playing with his phone.

“didn’t you have a meeting? why are you back?” li shuyao asked curiously after removing her coat.

“i was only gone for half a day and returned in the afternoon.”

“oh, what would you like to eat tonight?”

“braised pork ribs.”

“i’ll prepare it for you now.”

more than forty minutes passed.

tang rui came to the dining table, where he was greeted by the aroma of braised pork ribs. he enjoyed his meal and started to cook. after dinner, the robot began cleaning the dining table and kitchen.

tang rui and li shuyao returned to the sofa and began chatting.

“do you have any free time recently?” li shuyao looked at tang rui expectantly.

“yes, there shouldn’t be much going on recently,” tang rui responded. he didn’t have many commitments in the near future and was planning to take a break.

“in that case, i’ll apply for annual leave tomorrow. we can go to hainan for a vacation.”

“no problem. there have been so many things to do this year that 1 almost forgot about taking a vacation. i’ll go prepare the necessary items. we can take the yacht out to sea.”

tang rui felt enthusiastic about the idea.
