The Golem Mage

Chapter 1101: Blitz Eliminations 1.

For a brief moment, the entire arena fell into stunned silence, as confusion spread across countless faces, especially for the mages in the eastern stands, they could hardly believe that one of their own had been the first to fall.

But the battle had only just begun, and amid the chaos of eliminating Sojin, Fang finally succeeded in escaping, after several failed attempts, he managed to transition fully into his smoke form, as the vines weren’t fast enough this time to restrain him, due to Brandon’s Golem being distracted.

The moment he did, the treant golem withdrew its arm from the sand cloud above it, as it no longer saw any point in maintaining the setup when he wasn’t a threat with that move again. Earlier, when Fang had been closer to the quicksand, it had posed a real threat to him as the vine was supported by the suction force of the Quicksand to drag him and split his attention, but now, with him fully intangible and at a distance, it couldn’t affect him anymore.

“Leave him to me.” Arthur, having just eliminated his own opponent, burst forward at high speed, but even with his speed, it was obvious that he couldn’t do anything unless he could actually land a hit on Fang.

Still, he didn’t hesitate, he closed the distance, spun and lashed out with his arms, swinging repeatedly as he rotated his body, trying his best to catch even the slightest trace of Fang’s form, but there was nothing.

His strikes met no resistance, it felt like cutting through empty air, like a madman flailing at the wind, and then, just as he slowed for a brief moment—Fang’s body began to reform.

The first thing to solidify was his hand, which was already gripping his blade, in one swift motion, he thrust forward, aiming precisely for a narrow gap he had identified in Arthur’s armor.
