Chapter 53 The Dragon Lying in the Wild

Raven Fortress, as a fortress guarding the silent place and facing the empire far away, has always been one of the military important places in the North Star Galaxy.

According to the public information alone, the fortress has 50 permanent troops and [-] logistics and related personnel. And the few residential stars near the fortress have millions of people stationed there. This scale is not worth mentioning compared to a big planet with a population of hundreds of millions, but it is already the peak number of people here in history.

”After the last battle, this place once became a no-man’s land. It was not until more than 100 years ago, when the radiation weakened, that Beichen rebuilt the Raven Fortress and mobilized volunteers to move to the planet here. Therefore, every part of the fortress you see so far A defensive facility has been built brick by brick over the past hundred years.”

Leading the students into the fortress, Sirius acted as an interpreter.

”Mr. Noah!” Someone raised his hand.

He smiled and said, ”Just call me by my name. Although I am not a graduate of Beichen Military Academy, there is no need to be so unfamiliar.”

”Sirius, I heard that 100 years ago, the agricultural planets near the fortress could not grow crops. So how do people here survive?”

”A very good question.” Sirius said, ”Indeed, at that time, we could not produce food locally and could only rely on the inner galaxy for support. Until a hundred years ago, a researcher accidentally...”

He explained to the students how the pioneers of Raven Fortress rehabilitated a piece of wasteland into a safe living environment today. In this process, they experienced no fewer sacrifices than those on the battlefield back then, so some people call it a bloodless war.

”We have researched more plants that are resistant to radiation, and even cultivated some plants that can only grow in a radiation environment.” Sirius smiled, ”After years of research and cleaning, so far, these radiation effects The human body will not have much impact.”

”It’s amazing!” Some students admired, ”Is Sirius staying here for the purpose of continuing research?”

Sirius smiled, ”Raven Fortress is the closest to the radiation zone, and it has a special environment that is unmatched by other research institutes. It is also my dream to do research projects that no one can match here.”

The students surrounded Sirius and began to ask various questions.

However, You Yisi, who planned to have a good relationship with Sirius, was no longer among these people.Because he was isolated, and he was not the only one who was isolated.

”Sorry.” The fortress staff who isolated them said: ”Several identities are special, and other arrangements will be made in the fortress. Please wait a moment.”

You Yisi looked expressionlessly at the people on his right, Mu Fan and Isolde, and at the people on his left, Warren Hammer, Qi Xiu and You Yanzhi.

”I have a question.”

”Excuse me.”

”I can understand isolating them,” he said, pointing to his nose, ”but why me?”

”Because you are close to these people, you are also on the quarantine list. Please understand that this is for the safety of the fortress.”

”What about Senior Brother Yan Zhi? He is the general’s son.”

”Because he is the son of the general, we can’t treat him specially.” The fortress officer took a deep look at You Yanzhi, turned around and left.

Well, now there are only a few of them left in the room.Yisi has a headache about this situation. He was implicated innocently, should it be said that he made friends carelessly?

”Special treatment.” Warren whistled, ”It also looks good, giving me the feeling that we are guests.”

”It’s surveillance.” Qi Xiu said.

”Can’t I just be joking? Why do people have to live so clearly?” Warren said helplessly. ”However, after all, Raven is a first-level fortress, so it should be on guard against us. How should I put it, there are two Atlanteans here, and there are some evil-minded guys from the central galaxy, um...” He looked at You Yisi and You Yanzhi had jumping lights in their eyes.

”It seems that the two of you are not trusted either.”

You Yanzhi said lightly, ”Thanks to you.”

Admiral You Renyao has always been regarded as a running dog of the central government, and the family with the highest power in the central government is Hamer. This sentence is indeed correct.

”However, I always feel that there is one person missing here.” Warren murmured.
