Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

122: Chapter 122 The Human Population on Earth Has Plummeted! The Role of Spiritual EnergyWhether it was humans who witnessed the crimson moon with their own eyes or those who slept soundly indoors and missed it, none escaped the attraction of the crimson moon, losing consciousness and sinking into an inexplicable state...

Half a day passed and the crimson moon ended. A large number of humans woke up, while at the same time, a massive number of humans suddenly died silently!

This caused violent turmoil in stable human societies around the world. No one could accept the sudden death of their family and friends, nor could they accept this outcome.

The disaster brought by this crimson moon caused panic not only among the common masses but also among the upper echelons of various countries, because they were also victims of this disaster!

A large number of government personnel died, leading to serious vacancies in positions.

The situation in various countries was already not optimistic. Amidst the panic of the people, many started riots to suppress their own fear, while others took the opportunity to incite the emotions of the masses, promoting beliefs in evil gods, or committed suicide by jumping off buildings because they couldn’t accept the sudden loss of their families...

The entire human civilization on Blue Star seemed to have regressed hundreds of years to ancient times in an instant, and riots broke out...

Eventually, the upper echelons of various countries quickly recovered some of their strength. Realizing the severity of the domestic situation, they feared that even greater casualties would occur if it continued like this!

Countries immediately chose to set things right, using powerful armies to directly suppress the unrest, which gradually restored peace within their borders.

Among them, the Great Xia Kingdom was the country that handled this global disaster and riot the best, and it also suffered the lightest losses.

Because the main population of the Great Xia Kingdom has had no theological beliefs since ancient times, at most treating deities as a psychological sustenance, they did not have the same probability as some people in foreign countries of firmly believing that ”God is the truth.”

This prevented those messy heretical theories from breeding within the Great Xia Kingdom.

At the same time, the masses of the Great Xia Kingdom had confidence in the upper echelons leading their country and believed they wouldn’t be abandoned. Therefore, the riots triggered were quite small given the large population base and did not cause massive casualties.

Great Xia Kingdom, Capital Long City.

Half a month has passed since the global riots. During this time, the upper echelons of all cities present have been overwhelmed with work.

Sitting in the head seat was an elderly man.

The Supreme Leader of the Great Xia Kingdom calmly scanned the many City Mayors in the meeting room.

Compared to previous national meetings, the number of people this time was much smaller, and there were many more unfamiliar faces.

He sighed silently in his heart, ”Let the national meeting begin. Minister of Statistics, report the data!”

”Yes!”

The Minister of Statistics stood up from his seat and took out a printed document, looking serious.

He spoke solemnly.

”According to the data reported by various cities in Great Xia, the number of deaths this time is approximately 630 million... The casualties caused by the riots are about 45,000, and the economic losses... are inestimable!”

Although many Great Xia leaders had already predicted that the destruction brought by this crisis would be significant during the severe situation of the past half month and had prepared themselves mentally...

After hearing the clear numerical results, they still couldn’t help but feel dazed, their expressions becoming vacant.

”630 million... that’s equivalent to half of our Great Xia Kingdom’s population of over a billion...”

”No wonder riots occurred in our Great Xia Kingdom as well; so many people actually died!”

”Even in times of war, we have never had so many deaths!”

”Could it be caused by special weapons from foreign countries?!”

”I wonder if other countries around the world are in the same situation...”

The Minister of Statistics continued, holding the document.

”Preliminary estimates suggest that the total human population on Blue Star is about eight billion. If we extrapolate based on the ratio of sudden deaths in our Great Xia this time...”
